Answer:
Yes, it can; our click-lock floors can be floated over any solid material, even particleboard. However, the flooring that our floors are installed on must be anchored to the grade below it. In other words, we will not warranty a floating floor installed over another floating floor.

Answer:
Hi Jennypitt,
Steam mops should never be used on engineered flooring.
The moisture will be absorbed by the flooring causing it to buckle.
Use only a dust mop or cleaner specifically designed for engineered flooring.

Hey Mary,
While I can't speak specifically for ThermoSoft products, when using a radiant heat underlayment with the Home Legends Click-Lock products, you have to ensure that the sub-flooring does not exceed 84°F.

If yo are installing upon a masonry-based material (concrete, ceramic tile, terrazzo), you will need a 6-mil polyethylene film as a moisture barrier. If not, you can choose any floating floor underlay or no underlay at all.

Hello Rebeckah and thank you for your question.
The Home Legend Hand Scraped Moroccan Walnut Click Lock Hardwood is beautiful!
If you are installing the floating floor over a concrete subfloor, you must first use a 6 mil polyethylene film moisture barrier as per manufacturer’s instructions and warranty.
There are no recommended underlayments for wooden or concrete subfloors; however you can install an underlayment based upon the properties that you desire:
Cork will provide sound dampening as well as inhibit mold and mildew.
Polyethylene foam will give a softer feel underneath and provide some cushioning.
2-in-1 underlayment offers insulation, cushioning, and moisture protection.
The 3-in-1 underlayment provides insulation, cushioning, moisture protection, and sound dampening. Some 3-in-1 underlayments also have the recommended 6 mil polyethylene moisture barrier film attached to provide a cost-effective and time saving solution for installation over concrete or masonry (ceramic tile) subfloors.
The Installation Instructions for the click-lock hardwood flooring can be found here: http://www.homelegend.com/pdfs/2012/HDF%20Valinge%20Click%20Wood%20Installation%20Instructions.pdf.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad Easy to install, scratches very easy! Wouldnt recommend if you have dogs. Shows dirt easily. July 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by engineered hardward flooring easy to install, doesnt appear to be as durable as promoted February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This was one of my Best Purchases! Love It! Love It! Love It! The floor looks absolutely beautiful, the kids enjoy walking on it and are excited about it they actually enjoy keeping it clean. However, it does have its little flaw where it scratches easily but from previous reviews I was aware of it but not too bad. Installation was so easy all three kids helped me my son and two daughters all under 20 years old. Everyone compliments me, especially because I did it and am a female. February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This flooring is easy to install and looks great in our music room. The click lock system on this flooring is a snap to install (literally). I finished a 12' x 13' room in a weekend including all the trim. As this was my first attempt at installing engineered flooring, I started slow but soon found my speed picking up. One caution in planning random cut lengths: allow for extra length of you have a doorway on the end grain if you want to keep your plank ends in line. October 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I am very pleased with this floor I had this floor installed almost two years ago (guest bedroom, living room, entranceway and hallway) and I could not be more pleased. The floor is still beautiful and has lasted really well. I did not review it initially because I was concerned about the durability (due to some negative reviews here), so I decided to wait until I could comment on that aspect of the floor. In my case, it has proven very durable. I have a couple of minor scratches, but none that are even noticeable. That being said, I am very careful with moving things across the floor and with sitting things on the floor (all of my furniture has felt on the bottom of the legs, for example). Also, I have an area rug in my living room that covers the highest traffic area of the floor. If you have large pets or small children, this may not be the floor for you (I cannot comment about that because that is not my situation). I have a teenage daughter, but no pets or small children. I looked at a lot of flooring at a lot of different retailers prior to purchasing this and I could not find a floor that came close to the value/quality/look combination of this floor (Home Depot was running an install special when I purchased it as well, that made it an even better deal). The only thing I might do differently if installing again is selecting a different underlayment. The underlayment I used is a bit "spongy", which is probably good if your floor is not exactly level. However, I would prefer a more solid feel. It is not a big issue and a visitor would probably never notice it, but it is a minor annoyance for me. I highly recommend this floor. May 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not pet friendly.. Installed this floor looked great, like a million bucks. Within one week with my 9lb dog & my 22lb dog it looked like a old floor. scratched deep & worn. Would not recommend if you have dog or dog's August 6, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Decision Ever This floor has a thin layer of actual wood. The rest is soft particle board that will dent if anything heavy drops on it. Sure it looks good for two days but it scratches down to the inner board with any pressure. 55year warranty my butt. You'd be lucky if this stuff makes it 5 years. Home Depot literally told me that I should expect damage in the box, which I did have from the factory. December 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, but poor quality Looks pretty, but will look distressed quickly. Easy to install, but some pieces were marred. Easily scratched and we have had it in place only two weeks. Disappointed not in the overall appearance, but because I'm sure it will need to be replaced in jut a few years. You get what you pay for.
