Customer Reviews

Hand Scraped Sterling Acacia 1/2 in. T x 5 in. W x 47-1/4 in. Length Engineered Hardwood Flooring (26.25 sq. ft. / case) is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Forget it! Only use this type of product for wainscot, it is worthless as flooring. The clear coat does not protect it from daily use. Have had it in for 6 months and am tearing my hair out over it. My wife and i keep a very clean house and shoes are strictly forbidden. Will have to find a chemically compatible product, super clean the surface and pour a coat on if I expect it to last. If you really must have a wood floor invest in solid plank with a min 30 year warranty. This review provided for you by a contractor with 22 years of interior finish experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, shows the dust The floor is beautiful. It really shows the dust. It is darker than I imagined. You can not walk on it from the outside without dusty footprints. It scratches, but wood scratches. Do not use the floor wipes if you use glue. My installer used a little bit of glue and stapled the rest. Where we used the wipes to remove glue it caused dulling in some areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking floor We have installed this in two rooms. It is easy to install, however there are minor discrepancies in the width of the boards, so mixing pieces from 3-4 boxes is very important. I like the variation in color and grain pattern. It is a nice medium tone...not too dark or light. It will dent if something is dropped on it, however unless it's a significant dent/scratch you won't really see it. We have oak in our main living area and it scratches and dents's wood, it all does that, just some worse than others. The biggest problem I have with it is that the finish is very slick, so for us rugs are a must. There used to be other reviews on here (not sure where they went) with complaints about it being noisy. We haven't had that problem at all. We went to a great deal of trouble to make sure the sub-floor was sound, level and well prepared for the flooring. We installed with staples. We did have trouble finding the stair nose and carpet reducer for this floor. We ended up buying the stair nose for the 3/4 flooring and adjusting it on the saw to fit.
