Product Overview

78 in. length, hardwood veneered stair nose is a flush molding. It is used to cover the front edge of the stair tread, giving it a finished professional look. It is also used to cover the edge of floor which drops off to a lower level. For added security and safety, the molding should be nailed and glued. Answer:
No, unfortunately this is the only size we carry for our stair nose. You are able to cut the stair nose down to length.

Answer:
I too had rounded stairs when I went to install my stair nose moulding. I decided to cut them square. You do not need to remove the step to do this. I used a electric saw to do most of the cutting and the finished the cut with a hand saw and chisel. Just make sure to keep the cut straight

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Hardwood This is not hardwood, only has a thin veneer coat. Seems that for the money real hardwood could be stain matched. Cannot leave ends exposed as there is no finish, just fine particles. February 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bullnose does not look finished I am disappointed that the wood finish does not go all the way to the underside of the bullnose. It is noticeable as the mdf is exposed. I can see it every time a walk up the stairs and will need to figure out a way to mask it. April 12, 2013
