Hello Bob and thank you for your question.
No, this flooring its not a glue down type.It is installed using click and lock system , in other words planks simply lock in together and a whole floor floats locked in over the subfloor. This said it is necessary to leave an expansion gap around the perimeter of the room.I believe manufacturer recommends 3/8" of an inch.
Hope this helps.

Answer:
We recommend a solution made with distilled/clean water and 100% denatured alcohol, applied to a microfiber cloth/mop until damp. You can also try such cleaners as the Bona Tile, Stone and Laminate floor cleaner or the Bruce Hardwood and Laminate floor cleaner.

Answer:
This is not a laminate. There is a very thin layer of wood on the top with the balance being high density fiberboard (HDF) [clicklock]. It is important to note there are 3 different versions of this product click lock, engineered and hardwood. I can not speak to the engineered or hardwood versions.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I am DELIGHTED by this floor in my first home purchase! We had horrible smelly brown carpet removed and had this installed by professionals who took less than a day to complete the approx 400 sf area. We have 3 rambunctious cats, and they have not managed to scratch it--my bike falling over did put a bad dent in it, as did dropping a couple of items....but the gloss is so high that even such blemishes are inconspicuous....we love it...we had it placed as a floating floor over a 3-in-1 mold/moisture sound barrier, so it does has some spring and give in some areas....a delight and marked improvement over what we had. It shines up easily to a high gloss with a cloth, and I use a Hoover Pet vacumn on it every day and that has not marred it either...not even the hose attachment. I would highly recommend this if you are stuck with a cement floor foundation (with old tar) that can't be polished--real hardwood floors on wood support beams are the best, but this is a very close second. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful This floor is gorgeous. It does scratch. You just have to be careful. I have a pit bull whose nails have left scratches. We put rugs in the common areas to cut down on the scratches which are not as noticable unless you look at floor level or if the sun shines on them. February 18, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Laminate flooring this floor product is a "snap" to install and the shine with very little maintenance lasts and lasts this is the third application in the house I have used it on. The old looks just as great as the new when it comes out the box March 3, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, but high maintenance The floor looks beautiful, but is very high maintenance. Unfortunately the high gloss shows every ding, dent, and spec of dirt. It also shows foot prints if you walk bare foot in your home. I don't recommend the high gloss finish if you don't want to be constantly fussing over your floor. Cleaning can be difficult as you can see a film if you use a hardwood floor cleaner like the swiffer. Also do not wear high heels with this floor, and be very careful moving furniture. We have quite a few really big scratches and dings, and we try to be very careful. July 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok.. but nothing special. I used about 43 boxes of this stuff doing most of my house. I am on a slab, so my choice was limitied. after about the 30th box, I opend a box and got more sizes thatn the previous 30 boxes. That kind of ticked me off. Had I had boxes like the last 13, on the first part of the job, It would have been much better to stagger the joints. The finish has a nice shine, but in some boards, you can see a wave in the very thin wood under the glosss top. Yes, it will scratch easy.. After doing the job, I think this product was over priced.. Not to mention that I got the product I should have gotten only on 1/3 of the boxes, I don't think I would recommend it. Just my .02. April 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stop bugging me. Did not quite match, product was lighter in color then the sample. So we did not use. MeM July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The floor looks Great!! My floor arrived a few days before the estimated delivery date. The delivery guy was courteous and he loaded the floor in my garage. The quality of the floor is excellent, it's sturdy and durable. The gloss is so nice, one of my friends stopped at the doorway because he thought the floor was still wet! November 5, 2013
