How many boxes I need to cover 300 sq ft?

Asked by: Anonymous
15 boxes should do. This will give a little room for errors or angle cuts.

Can the bamboo flooring be installed the way the laminate do? In other words is it a tong in groove kind?

Asked by: Anonymous
It is T and G....but it is not a lock together system. It must be nailed to a wooden subfloor...or if over a slab, then you need to glue the joints together.

What type of underlayment do you recommend for the bamboo floor when installing on the plywood?

Asked by: Anonymous
It's just the black thick paper used on all wood flooring. Also, you can consider putting some wood flooring cushion sold in most of the home depot or wood flooring merchants to reduce the noise in the basement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Fantastic! We had our contractor friend install the floors throughout our entire apartment (about 5 rooms plus a hallway), and with four guys working on it they were installed in one day! I am so happy with how the floors turned out - they look amazing with the paint that we had already chosen and I couldn't have asked for a better match! And they clean very well - after all of our other renovations were done, I just ran the vacum over it to pick up the majority of the sawdust then a lightly damp mop to clean & shine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bamboo Flooring This product was difficult to purchase since the colors varied so much per box. It was difficult to lay due to the extreme variation in color and also caused alot of waste. We have had it down for less then 6 months and it is all scratched and dented. It looks like it has been down for years. We have had an older version of this product and it was much better. It scratched easily and we were hopeful that this would wear better. Sorry to say we regret putting this down and cannot recommend this product. This new product scratches and dents worse then older versions. Manufacturer says to replace boards if they show wear, not sure how this can be asscomplished without cutting up the floor and making a mess out of the floor. We used the nail down method.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Installs easy; looks nice; scratches and dents easy Had to give it a 3...easy scratching and denting (photo attached). Standing and looking from the doorway...floor looks great. Inspecting floor closely...can see all the small scratches and nicks...so I don't look closely anymore. Used a floor nailer...easy to install. Don't make a mistake because the board(s) will damage and become unusable when removed after nailing. Use felt or carpet cutouts on the bottom of furniture. Don't see how you can repair (replace) damaged boards without removing (and damaging) the adjacent (non-damaged) boards. Inspect the boards before purchasing. Difficult to match the boards if you buy from different lot numbers. Some lots install for the right and some lots install from the left. Also hard to match color and design of different boards to give symmetry to the floor. Manufacturing & Retailer should disclose the easy scratch and dent problem to the consumer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bamboozled When I first saw the bamboo flooring I was struck with how good it looked but worried if it would look so good when on the floor. I need not have worried. It looks great. I did my son's bedroom with it and it is so warm and inviting that my wife now wants to do the main living room over with it. We just got the place done with berber carpet two years ago. I must admit the flooring went down real easy, it cut well and its uniform structure brought instant affluence to the bedroom. So I guess next stop is Home Depot and more bamboo flooring I just hope I can do it all before Xmas.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally disappointed I love the look of the flooring. Like most other floors was a bear to install. After installation it looked great. After each cleaning, I noticed more and more scratches. The floor has been down for about 6 months and looks terrible. I am so very disappointed. Not only was the flooring expensive but the glue was over $100 a can. We purchase quite a bit, enough to cover two large rooms and a hallway. I am going to THD this week to see what can be done. This is not a product I would ever recommend. Sorry
