While time-consuming to install, was well worth the effort. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is there is no lot number on the boxes and there was some variation in color from lot to lot. In fact, one box had boards with different lot numbers in it. I opened all the boxes and made sure the boards were scrambled while installing so I would not get blocks of different colors. It produced a somewhat variegated look which I like.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by alaskaneric Great floor! Great value!
Looks great, is durable, and is a bargain at half the price of most hardwoods. The installation is challenging, though.

As a surprise, my husband, neighbor and my two sons installed this floor in one day while I was at work! This is the first wood floor my men have installed! It looks great for amateurs!
It feels great when walking on it barefooted!
Now, I want the whole house done in bamboo!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by greg Extremely Disappointed by Floor and Home Depot Response
Flooring very hard to nail-down install and have fit properly. Cups extremely badly at all seams and looks bad. Salespersons didn't know what they were doing and provided conflicting advice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rhef Beautiful looking bamboo
This flooring is very attractive. Installation was fairly simple, with boards fitting, tongue and groove, nicely together. Very few flawed boards. Home Depot was helpful with our selection to putting it on my truck.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathleen Beautiful Flooring at a Fraction of the Cost
This bamboo is beautiful! And it costs a fraction of what other hardwoods and even new carpet would cost. It matches well with pine and oak fixtures I have stained and finished to a similar color. The shipment arrived quickly and the delivery driver was very friendly and helpful. Some tips he told me: Make sure to acclimate the wood (we acclimated it for a day and a half). Unpack the pallet and bring the boxes into the room where it will be installed; unwrap the plastic off of each box, and stack it so air can flow around each box (I have attached a photo of this). The boards are packed nicely; I found no damaged boards through all the boxes.
It was easy to install; I rented a hardwood floor nail gun. I recommend renting as these will cost several hundreds of dollars new, and Home Depot also does not sell the L shaped nails recommended for this floor (although I did not check to see if they had them online.) Where you rent the nail gun will likely have nails. Another thing you will need is a rubber mallet and some scrap wood to hammer them into place before nailing. Some wood glue to do the last couple rows as the nail gun will likely not fit against the wall. A table saw or a handheld circular saw will do nicely to cut these down to size (I used a circular saw). A jig saw, hack saw or bow saw to cut contours around where vents, etc. will go is also necessary. A small handheld one will do the trick. We had two people install, and it took us about 10 hours of work to do about 480 square feet.
Remember to purchase underlayment as well. Also, alternate pulling boards from 3 or 4 different boxes as you lay them. There is some variance of color (not a huge variance, but natural variance a la hardwood) between boxes, so pulling from different boxes as you lay will ensure the boards are distributed randomly.
Also, be sure to watch the product for pricing. The price decreased about a week after I placed my order; Home Depot is very accommodating to price adjustments during the return policy timeframe.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by barney2772 Inconsistent color
While we like the bamboo flooring, the stain color is very inconsistent running from medium to very, very light, almost clear finish. (All of our boxes were from the same lot number.) While some variation in coloring/shading is expected and desired, the extremely light color did not blend at all with the medium color. It looked like a totally different color/shading. After having to remove one box of installed flooring due to the very, very light coloring, we sorted through a number of boxes and removed any boxes with boards that had very light colored boards. If you buy this product, purchase extra so that you are able to have enough flooring that matches.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrMo Great price point for REAL Bamboo!
The flooring was simple to install. I used it throughout my 2 story house (1500 sq ft). Took a good few days to install by professionals. Just make sure to leave the packages OPENED in the installation area for at least a few hours before the install. The underlayment recommended was 15 lb felt or rosin paper, but I decided to use the synthetic felt which made the project cost more but the synthetic felt should last much longer. The color of the floor really is quite dramatic and the toasted strands are nice and pronounced. I used a neutral beige color on the walls which brought the natural daylight to another level in the whole place. And for the price of this Real BAMBOO... Cant beat it!
