Product Overview

78 in. length, hardwood veneered stair nose is a flush molding. It is used to cover the front edge of the stair tread, giving it a finished professional look. It is also used to cover the edge of floor which drops off to a lower level. For added security and safety, the molding should be nailed and glued. The prefinished molding coordinates with its corresponding style of floor.

Does this fit flush with the wood on the stairs or does the top lip sit on top of the other wood pieces?

Just wondering if it locks into place to form a flush connection or if thr lip sits on top of the other wood making it more of a bump at the start of each stair. Also, does the finish and stain match the wood. I had the off brand and it was slightly off.
