Answer:
No, it does not. A floating floor underlayment, although recommended, is not required per our warranty. So, it is your choice whether to use one or not.

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by End cuts are not all square. Some pieces have top layer missing on ends. Overall ok product. Most pieces are not cut square on ends and leave a gap, even when sides are perfectly tight and straight. Many pieces have marks on them and the top layer of oak is missing or has been pieced in on the ends. These pieces can be used under cabinets or as cut off for finishing. Random length pieces include many many 12"-15" pieces which end up being a problem trying to find places to put them. Random length means just that, there are no consistent sized pieces, close, but not consistent. Width is consistent between pieces. Very few long pieces. Ends up being an average 10' floor, ie it looks good from 10' away. Just beware if you use it and buy extra. We glued it down. October 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this floor The professional installer contracted by Home Depot was very upset that this floor had major gaps which were uneven from top to bottom of a set of boards. He suggested either putty in the 1-3mm holes or if him it should be ripped out and start over. I'm calling HD in the am to see what my options are. September 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not good I purchased 14 boxes of this product and every box was damaged. The quality is very poor. There was only about 1/8" of wood. This is supposed to be engineered wood flooring and it isn't at all good. October 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by he worst product I have ever used. Milling was inconsistant , allmost all short lenghn and very poor ends all were bad so as poor product was badly milled could not be fitted together properly worst I December 10, 2013
