Waited a year to write review-not sure y there negative reviews regarding the durability? I took hammers and knifes to the number of samples I had mailed and picked up from home depot. The engineered Bamboo Walnut was the best. Unless you take the tip of the knife and scrape directly to the floor it doesn't scratch.
Read another review said it was cheap and looked faked? The planks are solid and very heavy. When you get your sample I recommend CHECK THE PROFILE! MAKE SURE YOU DONT PURCHASE THE VANEER! You want to look for a solid piece that is slightly blended in color. Thats the flooring you want to buy.
We have two Rodesian Ridgebacks 80-100lb dogs. Zero scratches on are floor. If your concerned about dogs these are the floors to own. We were concerned about the wear from them-which is y we only covered the master bedroom before we decided on the living/dining room. We are finishing these rooms this month will re-post another review after another year.
Only problem with floor is you cannot steam mop and light colored hair(from the dogs) shows. Easily sweeps up. Floor will creek and pop until it settles in was about 4-6 months.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ann8 Great product; smaller boards
I'm so happy we didn't listen to some of the reviews on here in regards to the scratching. We installed this beautiful floor in a matter of hours. It was a first time installing hard wood -- the laminate floor boards we normally use are a lot larger so we were a little surprised when the boxes arrived. But they were still easy to install. We have three year old twins, cats and dogs. Needless to say, the kids can certainly be less than gentle with their toys on the floor and there have been no scratches. I tried to scratch a spare piece and eventually did, but it was a challenge! Love this floor and it looks so beautiful.

The previous reviews were confusing to me when deciding on this product because some of them state that they're really soft and can scratch easily. I believe other consumers are confusing the strand woven, solid bamboo floor (this floor) and the standard bamboo hardwood floor (not strand woven). This solid, strand woven floor is incredibly hard and scratch resistant. We've only had them a month or two, but the floors were uncovered during the remainder of construction (oversight by our contractor) and stood up to work boots, cabinet install, appliance install, etc. without any major visible damage. And now we've been living with them and our little dog, and they still look great. Plus, unlike the engineered or standard bamboo floors, these floors can be refinished over and over again. The eco-friendly aspect of this particular floor was also important to me...to know that trees aren't the source for this floor, but the bamboo plant which regenerates over and over again is great. I am thrilled with my purchase, and look forward to seeing it last for years and years to come.

After extensive research on flooring, I decided on the Home Legend strand woven bamboo. I was looking for flooring that was durable, eco friendly and non toxic. I have children and pets and their health is a priority. Home Legend bamboo is Green Guard certified which means it has much less toxic chemicals than other flooring. We installed in our kitchen/family room and dining room. (We had a professional floor installer so I cannot comment on the ease of installation.)
Overall, the look of the flooring is very nice; HOWEVER, the walnut coloring is very dark and will show every speck of dirt and dust. I thought that a darker floor would hide dirt a little better but it only enhances it. If I could go back in time, I would pick lighter color flooring. As far as scratches, I have noticed a few scratches but nothing substantial or that noticeable (although it’s only been a month or so since the flooring has been installed).
One final note for dog owners, one of my dogs was able to walk fine on the flooring but the other one had a really hard time. They can slip and slide very easily if excited or walking too fast. We put runners in high traffic areas to help with this situation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYGoddess WOW!! This flooring is gorgeous!
I purchased and installed this woven bamboo flooring in my lower level (on grade) which has a concrete slab. I installed this flooring myself and it was an easy DIY project. The most difficult part of this job was cutting around doorjambs and pipes in the floor. The click & lock system is extremely easy to snap together and install. It goes down very quickly once you get the first row in place. This walnut color is absolutely gorgeous – a very rich color. Once down, this flooring is very solid feeling when you walk on it. Most floating floors feel like they are floating or feel hallow (to me). This flooring is so solid and thick on top of the 3 in 1 moisture barrier that the flooring feels like real hardwoods under your feet. Although this was my first hardwood flooring project, I thought it was easy and went quickly. I installed 280 sqft (small room, small closet, and small bathroom) in under 2 days. I’m already planning to install this flooring in my upstairs bedrooms. Absolutely thrilled with my new lovely hardwood floors!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bac23 Solid, beautiful product and easy installation.
Very good consistency in color and pattern. The solid bamboo is very hard (dense) so it is difficult to really damage it. However, the finish and color is very thin so superficial, but noticeable, scratches are easy to make. Also it makes a little noise as the planks move on one another over the underlayment. Overall we are very pleased with our new floor!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 7lbs Great Looking But Can't Stand the Creaking!
We installed this floor over a long weekend in our master bedroom and although it looks fantastic, it creaks like crazy. We've installed floating floors in our current house and in other houses, so we know what we're doing, our subfloor is level (we installed this over the existing hardwood floor), and we used the underlayment recommended by Home Depot, but every step we take (or our dogs take) on the floor causes it to *creeeeak"! Not good! I think it must be the design--there seems to be a little give downward in the click-and-lock design that Home Legend uses. Needless to say, we're very disappointed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by nonickname Flooring scratches very easily.
This flooring installs very easy, but it also scratches very easily. Within a day of installation there were numerous large scratches in the finish. The undercoating appears to be a light color (white or grey) to the sctraches really show through the finish. We are very dissatisfied with this product.
We are working through the claim process with Home Depot so there is not a resolution to this problem at this time.
