I purchased this product a year ago and each box had 3 different lengths for a random look. I just got another order and so far in the first 2 boxes, all planks are all 47" long.

Has there been a product change that was not disclosed?

Answer:
Flooring installed on concrete must have a moisture barrier. This product can be installed over radiant heat providing that the radiant heat does not exceed 84* F.

Answer:
No. The click and lock floors are meant to "float", meaning you do not glue it down. This floor is also not rated for below grade. HD has many choices for glue down, below grade wood floors. Try to search for wood floors with below grade concrete applications. I believe many of the bamboo floors can be used.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great The flooring is beautiful and easy to install. We are putting it through the whole house. May 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by looks beautiful but disappointed with final result good looking floor and easy to install. however, when its walked on it makes subtle crackling sounds. I've read several blogs with similar complaints about this flooring, "homelegend," from Home Depot. apparently the prevailing opinion is the noise is caused by floor movement when underfoot. I used the recommended pad under the flooring which was installed over 3/4 tongue and groove plywood, a very solid, flat surface. I was never a big fan of the idea "floating floors" but was convinced that I would be very happy with it. I should have listened to my gut instinct. someone in another blog described the sounds as "snap, crackle, pop," which perfectly describes my floor. I am very disappointed with this floor. if I do another hardwood floor it will be the staple or nail-down type. its only been down for about two so i'm not sure how well it will wear or if the crackling sounds will dissipate. I would not recommend this floor. March 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, looks great, durable Very happy with our purchase. Easy to install with a few basic tools. This was our first time installing an engineered floor and the area we did has odd measurements and difficult angles but the floor went in easily. Just click and lock. We have had it for 3 months now and it looks great - very durable and easy to clean. Planning to do more rooms with it. January 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, durable floor I was looking for a hardwood floor for our den that had rich color, durable (hardness and scratch resistant), easy to install by myself and within budget. I found all four features in this flooring. The click and lock grooves are very strong and simple to put together. The floor is very durable - the contractors installing the cabinets dropped tape measures from ladder heights several times with not even a dent or scratch to be found, so I am sure a rolling office chair will not harm the wood. The only reason it got four out of five stars for quality is that the veneer over the engineered underlayment on this wood is very thin, so it may be difficult to sand/repair a deep scratch or gouge. But for the price point of this floor, it is expected. If you want a floor you can sand down and refinish after 10 years of wear or so, then you'll need to spend twice what this floor costs. The color is fantastic. Different shades and hues make this floor stand out against the cabinet work and complements it very well. Absolutely no problems with installation. Very easy, especially if you have a chop saw or band saw. Just make sure you use a pull bar to get everything nice and tight. HD has a nice kit that includes a pull bar and wall spacers - worth the few bucks in the long run. February 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good flooring, poor quality control Deceptive online description of length. Relatively easy to install, but watch for poor quality. June 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We had shopped through numerous samples and styles from various outlets until deciding on this product Very easy to install with air guard underlayment, use high quality carbide tipped finish saw blade for cutting flooring for best edge cuts.Flooring sections with various cut lengths provide a pleasing appearance once installed. Remember to follow directions when installing provided by manufacturer. Open cartons and allow flooring to acclimate for a day or two, some bowing may occur, however they can be easily fitted into locking feature of flooring. Adding 1/4' spacer material to perimeter of room and removing after installation will sufficiently allow for flooring expansion. I would buy this product again. January 19, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Huntington Teak The wood is beautiful but very soft. The slightest thing dropped on the wood will scratch. I pulled a cardboard box just a few inches over the wood and a scratch was made. Spend a little more money and do some research to find a wood that is more durable. January 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Bought for my kitchen, dining room, and hall ways. Easy to install. Seams really are tight and smooth. The reason i bought this flooring was because I took home samples and beat them up with a fork and submerged a piece in water. This was by far the best flooring compared to others from home depot and other stores. Most of the wood floors at other stores could be dented with a fingernail. The only complaint I have about this wood flooring is it shows dust easy. My kitchen is still a work in progress so I'm hoping it'll get better once the remodeling is done! I have white cabinets and black granite countertops and it looks great with both. Very classy! My bar area isn't done in my picture but it shows the floor how it looks laid in a large room.
