These are my impressions after receiving, installing, and first use, of the Meyer's homeplow ....
I went with the #26000 6'-8" full power version for use on my 97 Jeep TJ (hopefully upgrading to a newer JKU next season). I have been using a front receiver plow on my Jeep for many years with great success. Living in S.E. Mass.it has seen some pretty decent duty. I takes care of my long driveway as well as a couple of my relative’s driveways. The old plow was fully manual controlled (climbing in&out of jeep), but now I have the luxury of being able to control everything from within the cab with the #26000. NICE!
Ordering from HD was the best option I found. They had the best (or at least equal) pricing & included all the needed "free" shipping options. This unit comes pretty much fully assembled in a large crate - If you’re thinking of ordering elsewhere, better double check that they include the lift-gate service!
Plow arrived - Great packaging, it was lift-gated to the ground & the great delivery guy even dolly'd it right into my garage. It took just a little work on a Friday night to get it un-crated and rolling around on its own. Then a Saturday afternoon to get the wiring run in the Jeep. Did everything slow & easy, but realistically only takes a couple hours to get it all set-up. The plow itself looks to be very good quality & easy to use. Now remember – it’s a “personal use” plow – definitely not for non-stop commercial plowing!
I ordered the shoe kit to go with it (IMHO – expensive add-on & Meyer’s should be providing these as a standard item with the plow!), but I would say that they are definitely needed. Only prob I ran into was that my front receiver on the jeep was too high (at about 16”). I had a 6” drop & that put it too low. Had to buy a 4” drop. So I’d say that the Meyer’s manual’s 10” to 13” receiver height is a pretty strict range to follow. Once I had the plow installed at the right height, I adjusted the shoes & the lift chain – Now ready for snow!
We had our 1st 2016 snow storm this past weekend. About 7-8” total of medium weight snow. Made one run on Saturday night – about 5-6” & then another on Sunday am to take care of the rest. Plow preformed great! It was sooo nice to be able to just stay in the cab and control everything! Now again, I’d remind everyone that this is not a commercial plow (I’ll even say that it’s blade is not as rugged as my old manual plow). It’s up/down side-to-side movement is a little slow, but not a major drawback. (I did try to concentrate on angling while it was raised & not having pressure against a snowbank while raising. I think this will help from putting too much strain on the system.) I think as long as you remember its not commercial grade and take it slow & easy, this is one great little set-up!
Overall – Very happy after our first storm!
Only reasons I didn't give "excellent" ratings - A little pricey, Meyer's could beef up it's blade a little more, & Meyers should include the shoe kit.
But I do think it is - Good quality. Easy to install. Very easy to roll around the garage & hitch up to the receiver. Great in-cab controller (hand held one). All appears to be very good!
I’ll add an update as the season goes on.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buddy59 Worst Purchase that I Ever Made!!!
I have only used my model 26000 plow 3 times and ALREADY the blade bent. The skid shoes cost over $200 additional dollars and they DO NOT keep the blade from touching the ground. I never saw a plow that was so cheaply made. Save yourself the heartache and go with another brand.

Item was received in a very timely manner. It was basically preassembled and what needed to be done was simple. This 6 FT. 8 IN. RESIDENTIAL POWER ANGLE SNOW PLOW worked as expected. It is nicely constructed and held up great.

I had terrible time to get hold any body at Myers to figure out why the unit does not fit as they have advertised. took 9 days with calls and Emails and still no one ever called me. I returned the unit 2 days ago and feel better.

I would tell anyone who buyes the meyer home plow to spend the extra money and get the power angle plow and also replace the cutting edge to a fisher half or five eight inch blade. great product for home use and small parking lots. I have plowed for many years and 2014/2015 I sold my truck with the plow (dumb move this year). You can use this plow pretty hard but don't beat it like a full framed plow mount.

I Purchased this plow one year ago. I used it one time in a light use situation. The plowed was very bent up and is very poorly made. I contacted the manufacture and warranty department. I have gotten the run-around for a solid year now. This is a cheap product DO NOT BUY ANY OF THIS PRODUCT. they dont stand behind it! I don't usually write reviews but I felt like people should now because I have been run around for a year.

I have put this plow to use this year. Here is my recent update on this plow. The plow is ideal for smaller jobs..The rubber blade is a must for this plow as the metal blade will bend very easily compared to using a Western Pro Plow. The general frame seems to be holding up very well with the rubber blade. Parts are easy to replace, but shipping seems to take a week or two.. The blade angles slower as there is only one piston for moving it left and right. Easy to take on and off and store in a regular garage. I don't regret purchasing this plow yet!
