Customer Reviews

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too hard to assemble This was not a cheap desk. It is beautiful and appears to be solid wood, not just particle board or pressed wood. It's very heavy and I believe will stand up to the test of time. It came most assembled, which was a nice treat from the furniture I usually get that takes hours to put together with lots of pieces. The desk has only three pieces to install - the stable bar and the two legs. That's where the problem arose. The long screws to attach the legs go in at an angle inside a very, VERY small working area. I could not get the screws to line up correctly because I couldn't get my hands into the area to work. I could barely get my fingers in to try to turn the screws, and I'm a female with average hands. There is no way a man could do this. The desk comes with a wrench tool to tighten the screws, but for 2 of the 8 screw, there wasn't even enough room on the side for the wrench to fit in. It took me 5 hours over 2 days to attach the legs - a job that should have been, at most, 20 minutes. The other drawback is that the top hutch just sits on the desk. It is not attached. I can see an accident waiting to happen. For this reason, and the lack of working space, I cannot recommend this desk. The design of this desk needs to be redone and a better way found to attach the legs. And the hutch needs a way to be anchored to the desk. September 6, 2016
