I would like to put a small refrigerator in the space behind the two doors, but that would not be possible if there is a divider. The refrigerator is 19"H, 19"W and 18" deep. Would it fit?

Answer:
Extremely heavy. We no longer have the box but I believe it said about 100 lbs. surprisingly easy to push and "roll" the box depending on the surface you need to navigate but you will need at least 2 men if it needs to be carried, which applies to box with cabinet also.

Answer:
I personally don't see why not. Just take the drawer out and take to store to someone who knows the right paint and brush for the material.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Instant Kitchen Island Large workspace, directions are fairly straightforward to install, the granite slab was crated in wood and arrived in perfect condition. This is a heavy piece of furniture. The only negative is the caulking around the granite peels up. For this much money I should not have to re-caulk upon arrival. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful! Beautiful, solid piece of furniture! Worth every bit the cost. Assembly was very clear and very easy to put together. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Island Island was easy to assemble. My son and I put it together in a couple hours. Adds a lot more counter space and storage. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful but can't get water stains off of black counter top Looks fabulous. The extra shelf is great for serving. I did have to have my contractor mess with the shelf supports. The holes were too close to the top so it was too hard to more the supports. He shaved some height off them. My big issue is water stains from glasses on the black granite top. We can't get them off. Can the company provide an answer? In addition to a variety of counter sprays, we tried a paste of baking soda and water, for 24 hours, and that didn't do a thing. It does not come with wheels, but you don't want them because they would make the island too high. But by adding 4x4" furniture pads, the island can be moved around the kitchen space easily. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great kicthen island The wife loves the island very easy to put together took me about a half hour to Assemble it's. it's got a great look. The only thing I didn't like was the way it was shipped to me it came by UPS and the driver had a hard time with getting it out of the truck and onto the porch April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the product Looks great and is sturdy. I did wish I had a little touch up paint because I had a little accident while putting together. February 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very distressed almost looks like it was scraped I ordered this island, was delivered on time, & better than I ever expected. Although the one box with the granite top stated "do not open this box till the base is put together.! What they DON'T tell you is some of the pieces for the base were in that box. One piece to put the drawer together was missing, called them & they said it will be shipped out. You do need 2 people to put the top on the base, other than that not much of a problem. Very happy with the purchase. February 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by While I do love the look of the assembled piece, I am surprised that so many reviewers refer to the assembly as easy, and that is coming from someone who is handy. Things to look out for: it is shipped in two boxes, and the box with the granite top weighs over 110 pounds. The delivery person left the box upside down, insisting this was the best way to open it - not so because this box has wood crating inside and can only be opened from the top so I had to hire someone just to turn the box over safely. Then they say to use a hammer to push out the sides of the crate, but a hammer alone will NOT do as the sides are strongly glued, stapled, and screwed in place. You really need to remove the screws and use something to break the glue line before attempting this. It definitely takes two people to put this together due to the weight of the top and various awkward moves required. The parts were well labelled but one of the sheets from the English instructions had been thrown into the heavier box at the bottom! Some of the screw holes were not perfectly aligned so you should have a drill and bits available if required to make some adjustments. January 22, 2016
