Yeah, the reviews were right. It won't properly assemble, I broke the rails because the 'J' piece won't go in the right side drawer section. Long story short, don't buy it. It is a true hassle to assemble, right now I am debating if I return it or I bolt it in place.

Unlike other products that I've purchased at my local Home Depot store, this product, purchased online - is extremely poor quality. The parts do not assemble properly, as they're not aligned as they should be. After many hours of assembly attempts, I had to resort to using my own methods. Luckily, I'm a long-time do-it-yourself advocate! I was able to use my own methods of construction to make this desk actually come together.
The cam locks fall out of place. The cam bolts do not insert so that they're straight. The desk pieces are not aligned once all instructions are followed, and the desk is "constructed". The manufacturer has made errors that result in a flimsy, over-priced item.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Don't waste your money on this desk = Total Junk
This unit is a total piece of junk. Nothing and I mean nothing lines up on this unit, drawers are all crooked, assembly was horrible, even the pre drilled holes are off, unit is warped on the right side draw unit. It's like they just slapped this thing together by hand and did not care about the end results were. Obviously this what not a pattern that was stamped out by a machine, if it is they better get their machine checked. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK OR YOU WILL SPEND HOURS TRYING TO FIX THE HORRIBLE WORKMANSHIP OF THIS UNIT

I was a little bit nervous about purchasing this desk online when there were no previous reviews. Now that it is here and all put together, I am satisfied with my purchase. It is very sturdy, all hardwood except for the bottoms of the drawers, and I think a pretty good value for the money. I would say that for a piece of furniture that you assemble yourself, it comes very close in quality to something you would buy in a furniture store that was already assembled, but much cheaper. It is shipped in two different boxes, which did look somewhat banged up on the outside, but every single piece inside is wrapped with foam, and protected well with Styrofoam pieces.
There were a few minor imperfections--for example I think a few of the board edges could be a bit smoother. Also, you will definitely need a drill because when it comes to assembling the drawers, the holes are not as well pre-drilled as they should be, and in a few cases not in the correct spot. I do not have a lot of experience with a drill and I was able to remedy those things fine on my own. These two things are the reason I am rating four stars instead of five. The assembly was not too difficult, especially for the main part of the desk. Putting the drawers together was the most difficult part. The desk came with all of the required hardware, plus extras, and all of the hardware was well packaged, making it easy to figure out what went where. Also, the frame of the desk is assembled with several cam lock and pins, which makes it very sturdy.
One of my favorite things about this desk is the keyboard tray/center drawer. Unlike other desks that I have had in the past (which have broken off of their cheap slides), this keyboard tray is very solid. The keyboard tray is all solid wood and fastened very securely with hex bolts. It and the file drawer both have the slides with the bearings, so they are much more secure that way as well. The other thing I really like is that the drawers are all full length, so they really hold a lot. This desk really looks great in my office!
I know this is a long review, but I wanted to provide answers for some of the questions I had about the desk but couldn't seem to find any answers for. I hope it helps someone else who is considering purchasing it.
