Rated 5 out of 5 by from White Hutch ~ I love it!! I am so happy with this purchase. After ordering online I received the shipment within a week and it came in 3 different boxes. The packaging was great, all pieces were labeled and well organized in the box. The directions were very clear and easy to understand and both pieces went together so quickly. This is by far my best purchase of 'put it together yourself furniture'. This unit is very sturdy and looks great. I am SO glad I did not let the previous negative rating sway my purchase. I don't think that person bought the same unit! By the way, I am a woman and put this together without my hubbies help!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from exceeded expectations Ordered on monday, received on friday. Had four minor paint scrapes/marks that were made unnoticeable with white semi-gloss paint that i tried before going through returning the four peices. Once the paint marks were taken care of everything was perfect. All hardwae bags have a typed label indicating what part they are to be used on. All wood parts are lettered, and most have directional arrows so you know what way it should be facing. Directions left a little to be desired but were no problem to follow. Fit and tightness is pretty good. It came in three boxes, each box was about four feet long and the heaviest was 70lbs. Overall we are very happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than I expected but not perfect This shipped in record time given the size, ordered it late Wednesday and it was dropped off in the am on Friday. I think it came from Idianapolis and I am outside Chicago. UPS guy delivered it alone and dropped it (one box is particularly heavy and bulky). On the base there are two braces for attaching the legs and one was completely stripped out and the other was loose (three smallish wood screws hold it in place) given my emergency need I resorted to liquid nail to reattach the brackets. I expect no problems unless the unit is slid sideways. Putting it together was not difficult but a few more pointers in the instructions would have been helpful in speeding up the process. One drill hole on the upper section was off a bit maybe a 16th but this unit is surprisingly tight in it's joinery (a good thing) so I had to do a little filing and drilling on this one spot. The cut out for power cords was too small to accept a three pronged microwave plug so I filed the curve a small amount and that did it. The drawers are ok the way they slide, one is a little sticky. The end result is a nice looking unit, the finish is a high grade for a DIY project. I would recommend this hutch as long as you have a little know how. It would be better for my purposes if it were a few inches deeper and wider.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was a good purchase. Overall my husband and I are very pleased with our purchase. The assembly was a little difficult to get started, but once the first pieces were assembled the rest of it was fairly easy. It takes two people to assemble unless you have a full set of wood clamps to help hold the first parts together. We did have some damage. One of the plexiglass windows on the hutch door arrived scratched and the doors on the hutch do not fit squarely. We are however pleased with the overall appearance and functionability of the piece and feel we got good quality for the money we spent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy! It is perfect for my medium size kitchen for extra storage. It did take two to put it together but it is not difficult. Stable and solid piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tips Pretty straightforward project. All pieces/hardware were included. Allow yourself plenty of time! 1.) Work/assemble on a carpeted area to protect the painted finishes. 2.) Two cleats (one for a drawer slide and one for a leg unit) broke off of the Buffet middle panel and bottom while it was in transit. I used wood glue and clamped each one back in place and let them dry overnight. Then I “filled” the corresponding holes in the buffet with wood glue and about 5/16” of the pointed end of wooden toothpicks before I put the screws back in the next day. 3.) Keep an electric drill handy with a bit to make pilot holes for the #8 screws, not only for securing the back Panels but also for assembling the drawers. 4.) Use a square or something with good 90-degree angles (even a piece of cardboard) for assembling the drawer “boxes”. 4a.) Assemble each drawer “box” with screws but don’t tighten them completely. Next, fasten the drawer bottom to the underside of the drawer sides and back to hold the drawer “box” at 90-degrees to the drawer front plate. Then completely tighten all of the screws to finish the drawer “box”. 5.) The middle panels that form the center “bay” of the Buffet made it wider than the outside two, for some reason, and that left those drawer slides too far apart from each other for the drawer to function properly. I removed those two drawer slides, put two #8 washers per screw in between each drawer slide and its cleat, and then re-attached the slides to their cleats. That moved those drawer slides closer to each other, and the drawer worked fine then. 6.) For safety, I didn’t rely solely on the Steel Plate Connectors to hold the Hutch in place on top of the Buffet. I drilled corresponding shallow holes into the top of the Buffet Top and the bottom of the Hutch Side Panels, and then lowered the assembled Hutch onto the Buffet over short lengths of dowel rods set into those holes in the Buffet Top.
