I painted the exterior of my house with this and the interior doors (with a different nozzle). I had to have it on full power not to get tails, but it was very good. I didn't want to buy something I'd have to keep filling up, this went straight into the 5 gallon buckets. Easy to clean as well. It took a little time to get it spraying correctly at first, but I read and reread the directions and finally got it going. Never had any problems with clogs and I did not strain my paint. I did mix it with a bit of water.

POWER-FLO PRO 2800 AIRLESS PAINT SPRAYER was a terrible purchase. Used for 35 gallons of paint for the interior of my son's new home over the course of two days. The third day to began to loose pressure, despite repeated cleanings and filings and all recommended measures. I took it back to Home Depot, and TO THEIR CREDIT, they took it back right away. I researched this product after the fact (my bad, should have done this before purchase) and many reviewers said the same thing. If you need a sprayer for minimal use, you MIGHT consider this sprayer, but for anything of substance, don't.

I bought this sprayer to paint the exterior of my home. I watched countless videos on airless sprayers in general and felt pretty confident about using one. I chose this one in particular mainly because of the price. It arrived early and in great condition. Assembly was very easy. I watched the homeright youtube video on how to prime the machine (several times). I strained my paint but did not thin it since the paint I used said not to. This made me nervous because it was very thick paint for brick/masonry. The machine didn't seem to have any problems at first.
About 10 minutes after starting, the sprayer would not stall after I let go of the trigger. In other words I painted one section and then the machine kept running and running even tho I wasn't spraying anything. I turned the machine off and read the trouble shooting part of the manual. I tried unclogging the tip of the sprayer but that wasn't the problem. I then decided to just flush out the machine and re-prime it. A bit of a hassle and I wasted the paint that was in the hose but it did solve the problem. There must have been a small clog somewhere. Unfortunately this happened about 4 other times while painting our house. It is hard to regret this purchase when it saved us thousands but it was frustrating at times. Perhaps it was just the type of paint we were using. But hey, I am definitely an expert now at priming and flushing it!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Singlebuyer Very Good, Very useful
This was gifted. Weather was finally good enough for me to really use it and I am really pleased for a number of reasons. First and foremost it's not a throwaway like the comparable graco's because homeright sells a pump rebuild kit. Second its a well made unit from a company that has good customer service. My first sprayer was a graco nova 395 so I know for sure this painted my deck and house just as well, since i am retired i did not want to spend that much again.
I use the graco rac5 tips and use the wagner push on gun filters so the consumables are easy to find and get. the manual is ok. Its easy to clean. be sure you peel off the little label over the oil hole underneath. take your time and clean it and be sure and oil the pump before you use it and after you clean it and daily if you are on a run.. the directions are easy enough to follow on that point. The gun has a swivel feature that works once you attach it to the hose. i became alarmed and contacted them and they said attach it to the hose and it works great. that's how i know they have good customer service
to clean it i use either pure minerals spirits or -100 rv anti freeze. the -50 is really not a great choice because water dilutes it. i bought a gallon and it takes about a qt to soak it inside. it protects from freezing and lubes the orings. either the mineral spirits or the Propylene Glycol will offer equal protection, cleaning on the otherhand is based on paint type.
I used it on my deck and on the exterior of my home. it did a great job and saved a bunch of money, had some fun and its all clean and protected and ready for next time. it paid for itself. i bought a 30" graco extension and that really saved my back. I am going to buy a Graco JetRoller Spray Roller System W/Inline Gun/Extension/Cleanshot that will cost way more than the sprayer. i am old and stiff and when i get around to repainting inside of my home the sprayer and the roller will make it happen. so add versatile to the list of good sprayer stuff

I recieved the sprayer via ups. The next day I decided I would give it a test run before taking it to the job sight....I should tell u that I have owned a magnum in the past...and the set up is very similar if not identical...anyway after setting it up and putting suction hose in just some plain water to see if I could suck some water through the hose to the sprayer so i could get a feel how the new sprayer ..sprayed..wel nothing happened the suction hose would nt suck....I tried all the faq...and went through alll the trouble shooting suggestions that applied..and nothing...so I returned it to home depo the next day and bought another magnum..it was about 100 dollars more...but at least I new when I got home..it was going to work as expected...and it did..
