Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Was not durable - The chain brake did not work. It took me a moment to understand what I was looking at. The brake was full on but the the chain was spinning like it normally would when the brake is off. - The pull cord broke after a day and a half as I started it up for the third time. The recoil mechanism can't readily be accessed or fixed. You'll also need a star headed wrench or screwdriver as well to remove the cover. - I could only set the chain saw down at idle for a few minutes before it would conk out. - My 2 yr old daughter said wow when I pulled it out of the box and she saw the pretty colors. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't go wrong especially for the price I bought this chainsaw as a general purpose item for cleaning up some dead trees and cutting down a tree from my yard. From cut down to clean up this little machine is great. I was using it for trimming and pruning all the clippings down as well and it handled it all perfectly. After about 2 hours it was getting warm but it still never stopped!! Highly recommended. April 25, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good for the money It starts up a little tricky, you have to pull 8 times when is cold. take care chain is always tensioned, but if it goes it works nice for small trees. Is not heavy, so easy to handle. Do not know any about life span, just worked only 2 days with it. I think it is not for professional work, but very nice to make the trees smaller for the wood stove September 8, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid little saw I have used the little saw on four different occasions so far and it has worked great. It cuts through logs easily, cuts down trees with no problem and even went through a large stump. It works well at all angles. It started right out of the box--I followed the directions on the saw and have had no problem at all with start up (it does help to have the switch in the "on" position which I learned quickly!!!). I have been surprised by how tight the chain has remained through all the usages-I have not had to tighten it at all. All in all, this appears to be one of the better small saws I have had over the years and a great value as well. May 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by a good saw for the money i bought this for fire pit wood for the back yard . no its not something I would buy if I were a professional but for your average home owner its fine. ive had it in the woods a few times it starts easily and does what I need it to do .the chain did come off on me one time I put it back on adjusted it its been fine since. I have my dads 35 year old homelite super2 saw here also I don't use it much because It vibrates so bad I cant feel my hands after I use it ,none of that with this saw. as far as complaints of chain adjustment and maintenance complaints its just part of owning a chainsaw June 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sweet saw! Purchased this saw today along with some bottles of power care full synthetic 2.5 gal oil mix and their bar oil. Didn't use the homelite oil that's included. Mixed the first can slightly oil rich at 2.2 gal 92 to 1 bottle of oil. Took about 5 pulls out of the box and this thing was idling flawlessly! Let it warm up good through the first few tanks and ran the 1st tank nice and easy on the throttle to let it break in. This thing fires up on the 1st pull when warm and the 2nd when cold. Idles perfectly and cuts nice and quick. The exhaust note is pretty sweet as well, nice and throaty. I was skeptical after the negative reviews I had seen but many people don't know how to treat their equipment. Take care of it and it will give a long service life. Pick one up and see for yourself, this little saw rocks! June 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Starts good but the chain will not stay tight and comes off It starts well, I have only used it four times; but the chain will not stay tight. The problem with the chain makes it just about unuseable, if you just wanted it to cut a limb off a tree is would be okay, you woud not be happy trying to make firewood. May 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by old woman & chainsaw Have not been able to use the chainsaw! Bought it on a Friday so I could get up on Saturday and start cutting down some small scrub brush. Well I fell and messed up my right shoulder that same Friday night. Did have someone get it out of the box put gas and oil in it and get it started. The gentleman did use it to cut up some small BlackJack limbs about six or seven inches in diam. He said it worked great! was very surprised, did not expect something that small and light weight do a good job on those limbs! April 14, 2015
