Answer:
Write down the model number on your chainsaw and take it with you to Home Depot. The various chain packages fit several models, and there are several model numbers on the package. You should be able to find yours on one of these. If not, there are HD personnel always willing to help.

Get your bar oil at Home Depot, or anywhere they sell chainsaws. It is clearly marked "Bar Oil" on the bottle.

Pretty much any brand of chain oil will work OK. Some are darker which make it easier to see the level in the machine.

Answer:
The manufacturer says bar and chain oil. However in cold weather that stuff likes to gel, another manufacturer says SAE 30 or simple 10W30 will work. However they mention increased oil consumption and possible excessive wear to the bar and chain. -- Applies only to electric chainsaws. Never use motor oil in a gas saw unless you're in real trouble.

For the bar oil? Just buy the cheap bar oil right by the saw (I forget the brand) but any brand bar oil will work.

Not recommended, but in an emergency you could temporarily use automotive motor oil. This would likely void your warranty. And you should understand your bar and chain would wear more quickly.
Better lubrication will extend the service life of your bar and chain.
Its much cheaper to buy chain oil than to buy new bars and chains more frequently.
Chain oil can be found in stores near the chain saws. Read Less

Answer:
Either your chain is too loose, or you are twisting the bar against the cut. When you are cutting in a perpendicular position, you can only move it in the cut in an up and down motion. As for the manual, you can get it on line. Put the brand name and model number in your search engine, along with the word, "manual" and you should be able to find the manuat to print it out.

Answer:
You may not have the chain around the sprocket on correctly. Make sure the inside teeth of the chain match up to the sprocket indentations. Or, you don't have the tensions tab inserted correctly in the chain bar. This would make the chain come off because you wont be able to apply the right amount of tension to the chain when adjusting it.

Manual says no. 120 volt/60 cycle only. 220 volt would make the motor run twice as fast and probably overheat.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 150 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy to use chainsaw I have used my Homelite 16" electric chainsaw for a few months now. I use the chainsaw to cut logs and branches from around the yard mostly hard wood Red Oak, Maple and others. I find the saw easy to use it is quite has plenty of power for logs up to 15" to 16". The Chain is easy to adjust and the auto chain oiler works well, easy to fill, no driping of oil on bench after use. I have never had the chain jump off the chain bar. One con I wish that the chain had a brake auto stop when you let go of the trigger. A big pro not having to mix and store gas, no smell, no noise, very easy to use. Pete in North Carolina. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work Cheap cheap cheap. I bought the bigger better one in homes that it would take down a few small trees in the back yard (only a few inches around). It would not cut through anything and I ended up using an axe instead. Chain comes off constantly... At least a dozen times during use. Returned to store for refund. Not worth the hassle. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great one! We chose this one because it was a size that was durable, but also light enough for me to use. Came with storage bag. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for small jobs It was a perfect fit for cutting up a fallen branch in my yard. It was 6-8 inch diameter branch that I needed to cut up and the saw was up to the task. I don't think I'd use it on anything bigger though because it's not designed to be able to cut down full sized trees. So it's great for small jobs here and there. June 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money This is a piece of junk. I was cutting some small limbs from small felled tree ( Used another saw for felling) made 2 cuts and the saw fell apart- chain an blade on the ground. Now can't seem to keep the saw together. June 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Came apart in my hands After removing from the box and filling with oil, I was ready to go. About 30 seconds into my first cut, the saw blew apart in my hands. The chain, bar and right side exploded. My wife screamed as I checked to see if all my fingers were attached. Obviously, the factory left the chain tensioner loose and obviously I did not check it. Could have been very serious so please check your saw prior to use. May 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Homelite 16" Electric Chainsaw This chainsaw works great.. It only has one thing I dislike. It lets oil drain out after use . In order to stop . You have to empty after each useage. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Electric Chainsaw Perfect for a homeowner that has some cutting to do. Not for large base trees. I was very please for the 10-12 inch trees I cut. I have a gas powered but wanted something for the smaller jobs. May 3, 2016
