DOES IT INCLUDE THE CHARGER?

I don't see that the Charger is Included, do you have to buy this seperately? and they did this to show a lower price ?

Customer Reviews

17 in. Rechargeable Cordless Electric Lawn Mower is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good mower / bad battery (with a solution) Like almost everyone else who wrote a review, my battery for this unit died after 25 months despite following all instructions for its care. Also like you, I could not find a replacement and Home Depot online is out of stock. I found a workable solution: I went to my local specialized battery store and the technician replaced the existing 2 twelve volt batteries inside the case with two new and much better quality 12 volts. These should last me another 3 to 5 years with proper care. As it turns out, the batteries that came with the unit were extremely low quality. Cost of new batteries was 100. Despite finding a solution, I still would not recommend this product because of batteries failure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This Product! Battery only lasted one year. Replacement battery, according to the manufacturer costs $199 and is on back order. After informing their impolite costumer service representative that the battery didn't work, she questioned if I took care of the battery as instructed by the manual. I informed her I did and she did not believe me. I informed her that I would be writing a negative review about their product. She said "go ahead" and hung up. Well, here it is. Save your money, but a different product, in fact, don't buy anything manufactured by Homelite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the woman over 60 Although I am still able to maintain my yard myself, I found gas mowers were becoming harder to use, and maitance was way too expensive for my budget. When my mower broke down I decided to give the cordless a try. I am absolutly thrilled. Mowing my lawn is no longer a chore. I actually look forward to the next mowing. Even my 10 year old grandson was able to mow the lawn. The gas mowers are too heavy and loud, this was quiet and light weight enough for him. I am especially happy with the removable battery for storage. It is also so easy to charge. I went on the home depot site just to see what was available before I made the trip to my local store. The mower I wanted with the mulching feature was only available on line, I was a bit disappointed since I really didn't want to pay shipping, Iwas delighted to find I qualified for free shipping. Best dessision I ever made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Batteries are cheap if you know where to look You can buy the replacement batteries for about $20 each ( 2 required) At battery specialty shops or google for on-line stores. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver to change them. They are 12Volt 12 Amp hour lead acid batteries and you need 2 of them. If you open the battery case and remove the battery from the plastic case you will find a second battery under the first one. These are very common batteries, are easy to change with nothing but a phillips screwdriver

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. I have used the mower for a month. It takes about 12 hours to charge, love the 1 lever adjustment for all 4 wheels, starts great, and mows average height grass well. Its a little heavier than a gas mower. For thick or ankle high grass, I had to push slower, but it did manage to do a good cutting job. Has a 2 year warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product... Bought this lawnmower in August 2011, the battery died for no reason this year, had taken care of the battery over winter. The mower being under warranty, I took it to a repair shop and was told that the battery is on back order and may take between 1 and 2 months to get a replacement unit. Unbelievable, the summer will be over by then. Why is the Home Depot still selling this mower? Read the reviews for the replacement HOMELITE Battery for UT13126 found on this site before you buy, these are the guys like me who have bought this lawn mower last year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little mower This is a great little machine. I'm only using it for basic yard maintenance. I specifically bought it because of it's small size, and how easy it is to use. I am a first time homeowner and have never mowed a lawn before so I didn't want to mess with gas and oil. This is great; just plug it in the night before and you're good to go. I am also 5'2 and about 110 lbs and had no problem taking it out of the box, putting it together, or maneuvering it while cutting. The battery life: not for big lawns. Our yard is about 1/4 acre and this first time, I couldn't finish the back. This is not the mower's fault, though. We just bought the house and while the front yard had been maintained (I finished with the battery light still green - about an hour's worth of mowing) the back yard was full of very tall, very thick crab grass and weeds. There was probably a foot and a half of growth there! I hadn't noticed it was that long because we don't go out there, we just let the dogs run around back there. Though the mower did a wonderful job through such thick and tall grass, it killed the battery quickly. I plugged it back in and will finish the last third of the jungle tomorrow. Once it is cut, though, I'm sure doing the front and back yards on one charge won't be a problem. I've also seen people complain about how "difficult" the battery is to maintain. You can't leave it plugged in for more than 24 hours, and it has to be charged at least once every 30 days when it's not being used (winter). I just set a reminder on my phone. Problem solved. Overall it's a great machine so far, although I've never used anything else. I think the extra $100 or so for the cordless is worth it, too. I bought the corded electric trimmer and I wouldn't want to deal with a cord on the mower. I hope it holds up well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from above what I expected This mower is great. My 5 yeor grandson can even mow with it. It is so easy to use, just drop the battery in and go. the battery holds a charge very well. I mow my yard, about a middle size one and it still has over half a charge, It is as strong as my gas mower, infact I gave the gas mower to my son. This one is llighter love it after a month and 4 mows.
