Answer:
The ratio will change depending on the amount of gasoline you mix with this product. Check the manual of the device you are powering for the correct mixture requirement.

Answer:
Hello Sid. The ratio would be dependent upon the requirements of the unit. If your unit calls for a 50:1 ratio that would be 2.6 ozs. of oil to 1 gallon of fresh gasoline. If it called for a 40:1 ratio then that would be equivalent 3.2 ozs. of oil to 1 gallon of fresh gasoline.

No need to add another stabilizer?

It says on the label "Lubricant with Fuel stabilizers".
So, I do not need to add another fuel stabilizer to the gasoline?
After adding this to the gasoline, what would be the shelf life of the unused gasoline/oil mixture?

Answer:
Thank you for your question, Sebastian. This oil does have fuel stabilizers in its blend that help prevent against issues associated with ethanol separation and corrosion; however, I would not recommend using fuel that has been stored longer than a season. We still recommend draining the fuel from all small engines before putting them in storage for more than a month. I hope this helps!

Customer Reviews

2.6 oz. 2-Cycle Synthetic Blend Oil is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is a 50:1 ratio bottle, read below There is some confusion people have had with this product with regard to its mixing ratio. Granted, it does not say DIRECTLY on this bottle what "ratio" this is. Generally, the "ratio" depends on the size of the 2 stoke oil container and 1 gallon of gas. Basically, a 3.2oz. bottle is a 40:1 ratio, a 2.6oz. bottle is a 50:1 ratio, and a 4oz. bottle is a 32:1 ratio. So, since THIS bottle is 2.6oz., it is a 50:1 ratio. Some products advertise themselves as a "multi-ratio" bottle. Usually, these are 3.2oz. or 4oz. bottles where you can use the whole bottle or part of the bottle to 1 gallon of gas to get the proper ratio you need (in other words, if you buy a 3.2oz. bottle, you would use ALL the bottle to a gallon of gas for a 40:1 ratio, or just use 2.6oz. out of the 3.2oz. to get a 50:1 ratio). Remember, this is all based on ONE GALLON of gas. If you change the amount of gas, you are going to change the ratio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and has no visible smoke at all. I recently purchased a 2 cycle gas leaf blower, and it did not come with the oil. So I had to get this from my local Home Depot. This Homelite 2-Cycle Synthetic-Blend Oil was my choice since it was ideal for use with any 2 cycle gas units to protect the engine. I am happy with my purchase since the prduct works great. It has no visible smoke at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Stuff Synthetic, is the only oil for all lawn equipment. I use it in every gas engined thing that I own. (Car's included.) It is clean, (older mowers quit smoking when the oil was changed to synthetic.) Rule 1) Break the engine in on standard oil, so that the rings and valves will seat. (I use about 8,000 miles for cars, and about 1 year for lawn equipment, using standard "mineral" oil.) Rule 2) Change synthetic a bit less often than Mineral oil, but do change it, (Crankcase.) This is the closest that I can find, for mixing on 2 cycle engines. I wish that it didn't have the mixed "mineral oil" with it, (that forms ash in the engine,) BUT, AS SAID; IT'S THE BEST THAT I CAN FIND THROUGH "RETAIL OUTLETS!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value There is much debate about which 2 cycke oil is the best. All I can say is that I have used Ryobi 2 cycle oil in my Ryobi string trimmer and handheld leaf blower for several years and have not had any engine problems. Both units still have plenty of power and do not smoke excessively and I have never removed the original spark plug. You can pay 30% more for the big name brands but I think most of the extra cost goes to marketing and not performance,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No specifications on bottle or web-site. The product says to add to 1 gallon of gasoline, but does not state the concentration ratio of 40:1, or 50:1.
