for the first time, how many hours the new replacement battery must be under the charge ?

Asked by: Amad
Manual says 24 hours. I would give it the whole 24 hours... don't try to use it if it's not fully charged.

Is this fit model UT13222 ? or do you have a battery for model UT13222

Asked by: ashburn
Hold it! The first answer is correct. You do use battery WKDC12-20NB. Yes, it's 12v battery, but this model Homelite lawnmower uses TWO 12v batteries. That's how it's designed.

Can I charge this battery outside of the mower, by plugging the charger directly into the battery?

There is a port on the battery itself that appears to fit the charger. If possible I would like to keep the mower in a shed outside, and keep the battery in the garage where it is protected from the elements. Being able to charge the battery separated from the mower would make this much easier.
Asked by: Danno
Ignore the answer from Syracuse. Yes, you can charge the batter outside of the mower. There is a connection for doing so to the left of the terminals (on the front side of the battery). I've done this, so i know it works.

24-Volt Replacement Cordless Battery is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 181.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good battery! I bought the lawn mower on sale at the end of the season. The first battery got through 3 mowing seasons. In south Louisiana, that's about 9 months of weekly use. I do have a small area to mow, maybe 40x40 all together, but I think it would be fine on a larger lot? On occasion I forget to charge it and can mow the yard two weeks in a row on one charge. When the first battery gave out, I ordered a new one and was mowing within a week! It came right to my front door. I know these things aren't meant to last forever, but I think I got lots of value from the first battery and expect to keep going with this new one for several more years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money Our electric homelite mower sounded good in theory (environmentally friendly) but it actually was a bad idea. The battery failed after a couple of seasons ($100 replacement), the mower clogs multiple times during every use causing me to have to flip it over and push grass in to the bag, the cut itself is poor, the mower is very heavy, and the flap on the back folds under while using and has been chopped up by the mower blades. This mower is a poorly engineered product on all fronts and an absolute waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved the day My first lawnmower battery lasted 3 years and towards the end of it life it would only cut the grass if it was not more than 3 inches tall. This new battery made it run like new, I hope it gets me another 3 years . The electric motor has save my back and arms from strains and pains, well worth it. So far

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Disatisfied y local store (Utica MI)is listed as a service center to replace these batteries. I have gone days trying to talk to a technician who is only in from 9-5 (when I am at work). My mother managed to take this in with the mower only to find that it is the WRONG battery, which they said WOULD work work with the model # mower given to them at the time of ordering. It does not! I cannot believe the headache I have to go through just to replace a battery! Now I have to order another one through a specialty store which will take another 5 days. I cannot express how disappointed I am with the lack of service I have received.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cold Knife - Frozen Butter It's been nothing but worthless from day 1. The mower battles like it is Don Quixote and every blade of grass is a windmill. Usually it loses. My neighbors laugh at me as they throw little pieces of paper in front of the mower. Birds no longer get out of the way. To rub salt in the wound, the battery has died and the battery pack design has been changed.
