Answer:
No it does not. Use the charger that came with the mower - if you're not sure what it looks like, it's black, about the size of a brick, has a power plug cord out one end and the mower connector on a cord out the other end, and has a few LEDs indicating charge status.

Answer:
It does not come with charger. It includes the replacement carrier and two 12 volt batteries wired to give 24 volts. It slips into place very easily and is ready to go.
I believe you should be able to get one on line from home depot.

Manual says 24 hours. I would give it the whole 24 hours... don't try to use it if it's not fully charged.

Answer:
The initial charge state depends on how long the battery has been sitting in the warehouse, so this time varies. 2 hours is probably the average time, but overnight would be sufficient in all cases.
The mower's charger shows an indication when the battery is charged.

Answer:
Hold it! The first answer is correct. You do use battery WKDC12-20NB. Yes, it's 12v battery, but this model Homelite lawnmower uses TWO 12v batteries. That's how it's designed.

The UT13222 Battery is a 24 volt battery. Your answer that the WKDC12-20NB is the replacement battery is wrong because that is a 12 volt battery.

Answer:
There may be a problem with the charger, or the mower may need to be cleaned, but you're probably right. This battery does not do well if it's fully discharged - it must be kept charged after mowing and recharged every few months or else it will be permanently damaged.
It would be a safe bet to say your battery needs replacement.

Yes, I had the same problem and in the end I bought a new battery online (free delivery) from Home Depot. Once the initial charging was done, my mower has been fantastic.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 176 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good battery! I bought the lawn mower on sale at the end of the season. The first battery got through 3 mowing seasons. In south Louisiana, that's about 9 months of weekly use. I do have a small area to mow, maybe 40x40 all together, but I think it would be fine on a larger lot? On occasion I forget to charge it and can mow the yard two weeks in a row on one charge. When the first battery gave out, I ordered a new one and was mowing within a week! It came right to my front door. I know these things aren't meant to last forever, but I think I got lots of value from the first battery and expect to keep going with this new one for several more years. August 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor design, very poor performance, and very dissappointing customer support This is a very poor design. The charger does not have an automatic cut off, so you wind up over charging, and thus ruin your battery life. It really can't be avoided unless you babysit your lawnmower while charging it. But even when you take extra care to not over charge, the $99 batteries will still only last for one year. Initially HD did not even stock the replacement battery. I had to buy my first replacement from Batteries+. Homelite created a piece of junk in this one and did nothing to stand behind their product. I've since read many technical reviews and it is unanimous that this product should have never been put to market. I believe now that is has been pulled from their lineup, so hopefully no one else will get suckered in. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cordless mower battery It works and was easy to install. Phone help on de-installation of old battery was good too. Could have had information on recycling, though. August 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ultimately, it turned out to be a good purchase. Lawnmower battery ultimately turned out to be a good one after considerable difficulty getting the battery to Juneau, Alaska. It took 3 1/2 weeks. Shannon, the customer service manager at the Juneau Home Depot was the sole reason that I was successful in getting the battery. After returning to the store for the second time, I decided to get my feelings off my chest. I bitched long and loud. Shannon, to her credit, decided she could help. With the store manager's approval, she was able to get the battery shipped from South Carolina (I believe) and now I have a working Homelite lawnmower. Bravo, Shannon, and bravo, Home Depot.!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth it The first battery lasted four years, which was about what I was expecting from a good lead battery. I tried the cheaper option of replacing the batteries in the battery unit, and that started really well, but after just a few months the batteries started discharging really quickly. This battery is lasting really well, through two cuttings of my yard between charges (I've a small suburban yard, St. Augustine grass). The cordless electric lawn mower purchase was an experiment for me and I think it has been worth it, although the batteries are still more expensive than I'd prefer, compared to the gas option. I was very pleased to see a replacement battery offered by Home Depot, it wasn't always that way. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by homelite cordless mower battery just drop in battery compartment in Homelite mower, plug in charger to mower, then other end to wall outlet, and charge for 17 hours. Wish they still made this mower as it is lightweight(i take battery out) and easy to use and adjust, plus very inexpensive compared to Ego or Black & Decker. But lack of popularity, customers not charging them properly and lack of support from Homelite, killed this nice and simple cordless lawnmower. Thank you Home Depot. for still carrying a replacement battery online ! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well! Bought this a few months ago after battery died on a second hand un-used gifted electric lawnmower. i charge it the night before I use it, and then it works well and I can cut about 2,000 square feet of grass. very happy with my purchase August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement battery Glad it was available for home delivery/UPS. No loading and unloading in the car, it is heavy. Usually lasts 2 years, and some may think that is expensive, but no cords and no gas to tote. This is my third battery. August 16, 2016
