Need to replace a leaking anti siphon hose bibb on a twenty two year old mobile home. Am wondering of this product will work with what appears to be a similar product with a longer extension tube. If the product will work is it possible to cut the current one off and push this on the current extension tube.

The product will work with cpvc, PEX, or copper. Some of the older mobile homes use a Polybutylene pipe which is gray in color. For accessible areas push fit fittings, like Sharkbite or Gatorbite, are the easiest way to make a repair."
If this is the case, this will work for your project.

Answer:
We would not recommend using this valve in that application as there is a potential for freezing. We would recommend installing a frost-free sillcock valve to prevent line freezing and ensure long term dependable use. If you would like further guidance, please call our customer service number at 877-319-3757.

Answer:
The valve is intended to be a permanent connection. Because this valve is installed outside the home and there is the opportunity for tampering, this valve does NOT have the same release mechanisms as other similar products on the market. Having said that, the valve can be removed by using a wrench to remove the nut at the base of the valve, and the mechanical teeth and o-ring can be replaced in order to Read More

Answer:
MC,
I don't believe that this would work with a drum. In order to install this valve, you need one of the following: 1/2 copper tube stub out, 1/2 CPVC stub out, or 1/2 pex stub out. To the best of my knowledge, none of these are included on a standard plastic drum. You are probably better off with a different shut off valve for your application.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 1/2" brass sillcock valve Didn't even get to use it I received it in the mail and it was already defected. Waste of money. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed! Super easy to install. Fit the installation area perfectly and works as advertised. Definitely recommend for installing into small areas. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hose bibb with push-fit connection I like and would recommend this item. The push-fit connection eliminates the need for glue or solder. The instructions give a measurement to mark the pipe to ensure proper install depth. I don't recall a release mechanism in case of mistake. I used PEX (blue pipe) to connect to the hose bibb. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install No soldering no experience needed. I can do plumbing work but this was so easy and quick! I would recommend for novice or for fast easy fix. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Installing this valve was a breeze. I had an old leaking faucet that was soldered to a copper pipe. I used the SharkBite coupling to join the copper pipe to cpvc. The faucet slipped on to the cpvc. Turned the water on and not one leak. So much easier than glue. Just make sure you follow the instructions and clean the ends of the pipe before inserting. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works This is a non-sharkbite push-to-fit item. It is a little different from sharkbite's version but still easy. Works just fine. September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great design Seems to be a solid product, time will tell. Fulfilled a special application that I needed. It's a permanent connection, so make sure first time it's done right. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the home do it yourself person. Quality product that works as advertised. There is no way to remove it from pipe without damaging the gripping mechanism. May 28, 2013
