Customer Reviews

3/4 in. x 3/4 in. CPVC Slip x Slip Ball Valve is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from These are junk I have used several of these now and they are so poorly made that I have broken off two handles with very little effort causing them to leak. Spend the extra money and buy a better made part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 out of 8 Proline valves were defective! I installed 8 of these in my house as I completely replaced copper and galvanized pipes with CPVC. 2 out of 8 (25%) leaked at the middle of the valve, from under the handle, as soon as I turned the main back on. I didn't think it was possible for CPVC valves to leak. Boy was I wrong. The only other review on this site seems to have had the same problem, but I didn't see that review until I had a problem and started researching. I want peace of mind that my new plumbing isn't going to leak. I've already replaced 4 and plan on re-placing the rest with a different brand from a plumbing supply store. I would not recommend these valves to anyone. I learned two lessons: 1. don't buy proline CPCV ball valves & 2. leave enough pipe between the valve and next joint to minimize the amount time and effort to replace your valve, if the need arises!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me... Installed one of these for my new hot water heater relocate on the supply line.... Seems to work for me, valve a little sticky, worked it back and fourth under the faucet and clean with water, dried it out and glued on... no drips.... just don't get glue inside on the ball is the only problem I could see happening.... I don't think any of these plastic valves are meant for high duty cycles.... If I was going to use it all the time then I would have opted for a brass valve assembly.... but how many times am I going to shut the water off to the new water heater? I hope not for another 15 years :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leak and break Leaked after 2 years, never shut it off l, I guess it can't withhold the pressure, broke, came home to water everywhere, spend the extra money to buy better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from need lubricating lube the ball inside and out with a little MAGIC LUBE, work the valve several times till it moves freely. Wipe off excess and install, the lube works great on those O'RINGS that always leak with garden hoses. Lube the washers on the sprayer itself, and the faucet end of the hose , hand tighten and no lesks
