Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChicagoLawnMower23 Excellent lawnmower with some serious power
Ok so the primary reason I looked at a Honda lawnmower was the their reputation online and via the home depot in-store rep for good engines. I figured that's got to be the main thing you look at for long term value. So as expected the engine is strong. The acceleration control tabs things are awesome. Didn't have that feature when I bought my last lawn mower 15 years ago (we've been living in condos so didn't have the need for one). The double blade thing is awesome and lives up to the videos describing it. It turns the mulch into such small pieces that even in relatively thick grass. And lastly the power on this thing is awesome. It has so much rear wheel power that i literally can have one hand on this thing and it races across the lawn. But you can control the speed with the tab things on the handle because pushed all the way down it's way too fast lol. Anyways, great mower. Can't go wrong with Honda.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LimaTime Wheel Bolt Broke before 1 year - lawn looks like a bad haircut
Purchased this because of the "honda" name and although this mower is super fast it hasn't lived up to the price tag. The wheel bolt broke off and we haven't even had this a year -- also if you look at the lawn it almost looks like a bad haircut somedays where there are spots that clearly weren't cut right. There has to be a better quality product for the price that you are paying for this at.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Honda 21 in. 3-in-1 Variable Speed Self-Propelled Gas Mower with Auto Choke THE BEST
Best lawnmower I have owned, and I have had many! Starts first pull every time, solid tight sounding engine. It would be nice if you could click lock the self propelled speed control, but other than that it is perfect! HONDA IS THE BEST!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SoobyDooby Best Mower Ever for All Seasons!
This is the second Honda mulching mower I've owned. The last one I sold before moving to a condo. I find myself in a house with a park-like back yard, shaded by an awesome oak tree. The mower was fantastic for summer mowing -- I'd fed my St. Augustine grass very early and again early Spring, and it killed all the weeds (there were MANY) and the mulching mower made it look beautiful all summer.
The mower is easy to start, lightweight, easy to maneuver, and cuts beautifully. It was easy to assemble. The mulching feature really seems to promote healthy growth. The self-propelling feature makes it super easy to calibrate to my pace.
I highly recommend this mower.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Susycm Great compared to my Old Toro.
What I love: fine mulching even when grass is a bit long. Ease of changing from bagging to mulching is a simple lever. Great power...in fact it can run away with you if you don't watch it. Rear wheel drive is something I wasn't aware was important until I had it. Now I wouldn't do without it. And most important of all...my old Toro was harder and harder to start as it (and I) aged. It got so bad only my husband could start it. This one starts every time with one pull. I just love it. Only one caveat: it weighs 84 pounds, so when you have to disengage self-propulsion in tight places, it is heavy to maneuver.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Redsfan1973 Best bang for your buck quality made self propelled mower!
The mower was easy to put together right out of the box. I have used it 6-7 times now mowing my grass and the variable speed option on this mower makes it so easy to slow down or speed up where needed. It has taken 15-20 minutes off my mowing time as compared to my single speed 11 year old Craftsman push mower. It cuts so much better and it cuts the grass up finer with the dual blade system. I have 2 commercial grade pressure washers with the 390cc Honda engine that I use for my business that are always reliable and I read in a leading consumer magazine their push mowers were top rated and for $399 it was worth it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LandoCalrissian Best Mower I have ever used
I have used about 5-6 different push lawn mowers in the past. The quality and ease of use alone makes it worth the price but there are more features that make this the best lawn mower I have ever used. It starts effortlessly, one pull and no need to prime. For me, I only have about 0.2 acres but I can get through the entire yard on 1-2 bag fills max. Sometimes I let the grass get quite too long and it still powers through it like there is nothing in the way. The motor really pulls and my land is flat but I imagine if you do have a sloped yard or hills to get up this thing would do fine climbing it. Construction and build are solid as well. Overall I don't have one complaint after about 2 months of using it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sarge Piece of junk
Took my mower out from the garage and ready to mow grass. Was in my heated garage for winter.Put fresh gas in,new sparkplug, would not start.Took to Honda warranty center for repair, mower is 2 years old.The repair shop called and said had a cracked rocker arm and.Honda said would not cover repairs due to must have been bad gas.Told them put the same gas in my other lawn mower and is running like a champ,it has a Briggs and Stratton engine. They still said had bad gas while sitting in Atlanta and not even seeing my mower.I am done with this Honda Quality and these high price for the Honda name.A warranty with Honda is worthless, everything is blamed on bad gas.
