Title says it all! Just open the box add oil and gas and you are good to go! Starts on the first pull... The mulching on this dual bladed mower is amazing and make the bag only needed for leaf clean up. I handed down my 15 year old Honda mower to my son after he bought his first home a couple of months ago and i expect that this mower will give me the same or better service. I highly recommend Honda mowers over any other brand out there. They used to be considerably more expensive than their competition but but now it is a no brainer. $400.00 for what I estimate 20 years of service is a bargin!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by michael paint flaking underneath! check underneath yours!!
Mows fine. Doesn't mulch as well as they boast with having the dual blade, but that could be because the grass was a little long. Hondas do NOT have the hose cleanout so when I just finished up using it for the second time, I lifted it up slightly to clean out the bottom and realized that huge sections of paint are flaking off! This is a steel deck that will now start to rust! Had higher hopes for spending the money on a Honda, but am taking it back to try out the Toro

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LimaTime Wheel Bolt Broke before 1 year - lawn looks like a bad haircut
Purchased this because of the "honda" name and although this mower is super fast it hasn't lived up to the price tag. The wheel bolt broke off and we haven't even had this a year -- also if you look at the lawn it almost looks like a bad haircut somedays where there are spots that clearly weren't cut right. There has to be a better quality product for the price that you are paying for this at.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mbratton Best lawn mower I have ever owned.
This is the best lawn mower I have ever owned. The self propelled feature is a big help with having a yard with hills. It cuts very well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChicagoLawnMower23 Excellent lawnmower with some serious power
Ok so the primary reason I looked at a Honda lawnmower was the their reputation online and via the home depot in-store rep for good engines. I figured that's got to be the main thing you look at for long term value. So as expected the engine is strong. The acceleration control tabs things are awesome. Didn't have that feature when I bought my last lawn mower 15 years ago (we've been living in condos so didn't have the need for one). The double blade thing is awesome and lives up to the videos describing it. It turns the mulch into such small pieces that even in relatively thick grass. And lastly the power on this thing is awesome. It has so much rear wheel power that i literally can have one hand on this thing and it races across the lawn. But you can control the speed with the tab things on the handle because pushed all the way down it's way too fast lol. Anyways, great mower. Can't go wrong with Honda.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Honda 21 in. 3-in-1 Variable Speed Self-Propelled Gas Mower with Auto Choke THE BEST
Best lawnmower I have owned, and I have had many! Starts first pull every time, solid tight sounding engine. It would be nice if you could click lock the self propelled speed control, but other than that it is perfect! HONDA IS THE BEST!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rhettsmom Solid choice!
We have a hilly yard and I needed to buy my first self propelled mower. This mower is very easy to start (one or two pulls at most) and has auto choke. It is excellent to use in our back yard which has a medium slope and maneuvers well with enough space to turn. It mulches well and switches between mulch and bag very easily. Our front yard is very steep and mowing it is challenging even with this mower since there is very limited space to turn. This machine is a bit heavy and more cumbersome for me to move around when at the end of rows or in tight turn situations. Despite this, it is a good mower and I'm sure I will use it for many years.

Manual has no section/directions for replacing belt.
Belt needed replacing within 30 days.
Home Depot did not carry belt even through they sold mower.
Dis-assembly for belt replacement is bizarre....and overly complicated.
Belt failed again with 30 days.
Mower holds very very little oil.
Mower starts well...........
Mower needs replacing within 6mo of purchase because of continuing drive belt failure
and difficulty in replacing same.
All stickers for operation/direction fell off within 3 mo
Suggestion,,,,spend another $500 and buy a commercial mower
Long time commercial customer of Home Depot,
Surprising poor quality for a Honda.
