Easy enough to set up, removed from box, set the handle, assembled grass bag (can use with or without), added oil and gas, turned the key and it started right up. Very nice cut, easy enough to empty the bag. Haven't had a self propelled in many years, going to take some getting used to, but I feel that I will really like it!

Honda is always a little bit more expensive than other mowers due to the Honda engine, but man, this mower is excellent. Started right up after I put oil and gas in. Electric start is amazing. Mulching is amazing. Smooth, smooth mower. Love it!

So far so good I've only mowed the lawn three times it has a lot of power and a little bit of a wheel hop but that's just to let you know the grass bag is full :-)

I had a Sears Craftsman lawn mower for over 20 years, and eventually, it died on me. Did some research online and decided to try one of the new battery operated lawn mower from EGO. The concept of not having to deal with gas, oil, air filter and yearly maintenance was attractive to me. After using this battery operated lawn mower for roughly a month, I noticed it did not provide enough suction under the mower, which led to "poor mulching" on my yard. Since I "mulch cut" 98% of the time, I can not deal with the inadequacy of this mower. Needless to say, I return it and decided to go back to a "gas" lawn mower.
I have always heard about the Honda lawn mower's reliability and cut quality, so I decided to give them a try. I bought this model for several reasons:
1) Electric Start - great to have, especially for those days when you don't want to pull the starter rope
2) Twin Blades - since mulch cutting is important to me, this design will definitely grind up the clippings well
3) 3-in-1 Clip Director - no extra tools needed for "bagging" or "mulch" cutting, very convenient and lastly
4) Honda GCV160 Engine - reliable engine which starts every time
Normally, I would wait about 30 to 45 days of using any new lawn mower, before writing a review. However, I am so HAPPY with the result of this mower that I had to write this review. Just like the ad, it starts up every time I use the "electric start" key. As for the "mulch" cutting capability, it grinds up the clippings so finely, that they fall into the turf excellently. The Twin Blades cutting design is a WINNER, and my lawn has never look better. Even though I have to deal with gas, I am willing to put up with this for a "SUPERIOR" cut every time I use this lawn mower. I definitely recommend this lawn mower, you will not be disappointed in the reliability and quality of this "awesome" machine!!!!!

Great mower so far, only have owned it for 3 weeks, easy to setup and use, I like the electric start and rechargeable battery no cord to plug in, it recharges from running the mower..... I like it!

Electric start is not as robust as I'd like. Engine takes several seconds to rev up. The mower is very heavy. Powered well and can get away from you if not careful. Variable speed controls are easy to overuse. Hook points on rear of mower become filled with grass clippings and constantly need cleaning when replacing bag after emptying. A few minor tweaks and less weight would be nice.

I have worked on lawnmowers for a long time. I have also had a part time small engine repair business where I worked on machines for others. I have never owned a Honda mower before and was shocked to learn that this mower was designed without an oil drain plug. That's right, no plug to drain the oil when it's time for a change. You have to either try to suck it out through the oil filler tube or turn the machine on it's side and let the oil run out all over the mower deck and onto the floor. I'll never buy another.
