If only there was some kind of internet search tool that would help you search for words or phrases like "storage cube connectors". We could give it a name like, oh I don't know, "Google"!!!

Answer:
Not much. The grid wires are thin and only tack welded so they bend and break fairly easily. The connectors also pull apart easily unless you use zip ties to secure the grids together

No, i wouldn't do that. I don't think it would hold.
The panels aren't heavy enough to support a bed.

I was suggested to purchase these to make a guinea pig habitat. The holes should not be more than 3.8cm (38mm) wide. Can I get an accurate measurement of one of the openings?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Organizer The Organizer was easy and fun to assemble . Because of the space, I was able to choose to have only two shelves. I like the openness of the organizer, it does the job but does not overwhelm the space. August 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fairly delicate but nice size compartments. I had called home depot to ask them how much each shelf could hold as I was planning to use these to hold my quilting fabric. They told me 10 pounds. When I got the 4 I ordered, I found that yes, it would hold the fabric okay but it isn't the sturdiest item for staying together - as a matter of fact, I assembled it in my family room and then tried to move it to my craft closet during which move, it totally fell apart. The idea of it is perfect as you can see what is in each cube from all sides. I turned two of the cubes on the top so they are more of a box with no lid and I have filled one with crochet thread and one with yarn. Then I have stacked quilting fabric on the shelves of the others and they seem to be holding up fine. I definitely would not purchase this for kids to use in any capacity. The shelves are good but the connections need to be made differently. I'm thinking I might just use some zip ties to hold them together a little more sturdily. as a side note, my little kitten loves to climb in and around it. March 3, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed to build an awesome guinea pig cage! Google cube and corolla set for examples of cages for your cavy July 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by heavy gauge?! these are such garbage! already bent out of shape before assembly... the wires are spaced too far apart and the wire itself is so weak these cubes barely support themselves let alone putting anything on them. unbelievably disappointing! June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Bang for the Buck The cube organizer was very easy to put together and also versatile. It was great for what I was using it for. One note that I would say is that it is not meant for anything heavy as the "gridwork" is rather thin and would probably bend with heavy weight May 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Useful I used these grids to build a C&C cage for my guinea pigs so please keep that in mind! The grids are abit difficult to assemble because they easily snap off the corners so I used zipties for re-enforcement, which worked quite nicely. I expected all the grids to be 8x8 square openings but I failed to analyze the pictures given. I suggest adding that there are two different sizes in the description. February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very flexible product The product allows one to be creative in your setup. Easy to put together, but make sure you 'click' everything into place to ensure that your structure is sturdy. April 14, 2015
