Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be locked with a small padlock?

Asked by: Pattibug66
I think so, although, I don't have to lock mine. All 3 zippers on top can be locked when they are gathered together.

since this seems to be the largest capacity of 50 lbs. weigh limit being 60 inches wide do you have any other storage units this width that can hold

more than a 50 lb weight limit? i have now used two other brands and they do not hold my clothes. I had one just about 2/3 full and evenly distributed and the side rods bent and folded !! 50 lbs just is not much weight when hanging clothes especially 60 in. wide. please help!! thanks!
Asked by: Geri
This unit is better built than the ones you find in other stores. I personally have over 1 hundred pounds in mine.

Customer Reviews

63 in. H x 60 in. W x 18 in. D Portable Closet in Gray is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fit for small apartments, dorms and single bedroom occupancy. I got this closet to use in my basement for storing my snow gear. These are heavy duty layered pieces that I do not prefer storing in my wardrobe. The unit came well packaged with all parts included. Installation instructions were included. Also there is a video on the product page showing the assembly. The assembly wasn’t as straight forward as the online video. Once you have joined the base with the vertical support structures and haven’t put the frame into the cloth yet, try not moving or dragging it from one spot to another as the pieces fall apart (come out of the notches) at the bottom. The problem is that there isn’t any locking mechanism for the support structures hence they are prone to come apart if you try to drag the frame. I added quarter inch metal screws to secure the bottom vertical with the top vertical. Also, one of the lower vertical support unit had a crooked opening which I had to straighten to allow the top piece to fit into it. In my opinion, a spring-push button mechanism would’ve been a better choice for a tool-less assembly. Just pushing into notches just doesn’t cut. Cloth is good quality and zipper seems sturdy. Opening/closing is effortless and I am able to hang all my snow gear easily. Given its size, I see it a good fit for small apartments, dorms and single bedroom occupancy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable storage closet Was exactly as pictured. Very roomy. A little puzzle to put together but did it by myself. The second one was easier! We needed lockable units and this model works out fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Portable stand up enclosed closet Cumbersome assembly. For the price, it was cheap material. I have purchased other portable closets in the past for 1/3 the cost which were much sturdier construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Portable Closet The portable closet is very well built, easy to put together without any help, and looks good. The box is heavy for one person, but after having all the pieces out anyone how can read, and follow instructions can assemble the closet by themselves. The product would be better if it came in different colors, and sizes, but that is a personal thought. I do like the closet for storing my different seasonal clothes in.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's just OK Was surprised that this item is so lightweight. I was expecting something heavier. Also, this closet is assembled without tools, basically you push one piece onto another. You had better have the designated spot figured out and assemble it right there, because if you put it together in another room and then try to drag or move it, it actually comes undone and falls apart. I was also under the impression that it came with wheels (because it said "portable") ... I should have read the description better ... because it's only portable in that you can take it apart and reassemble it again, elsewhere. Putting it together took only 15 minutes. The cover is a good quality and I like that you can zip it up to completely enclose it, but the end result still felt a bit wobbly. Even though it says that you can hang up to 50lbs of clothes, I don't feel quite confident to do so. I think that the price point is a little high for what it is. Anyway, I'm using it to store some off season clothes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from just right for it's intended purpose Very easy to assemble - took me about 15 minutes. Even though it has no castors it is light enough to push it around. If fit a fairly large number of clothes on hangars. The fabric all around is very thin so does not afford much protection to contents. The bottom is not hard - just flimsy fabric so nothing can be placed on the bottom of the closet. But it served my purpose of storing away summer clothing, and for the price - can't complain. It would have been better if the material used sturdier fabric.
