The Honeywell Allergen Plus is made of a pleated media offered at a value. Its electrostatic charge and larger surface area of pleated material improves the efficiency of its dust-holding capacity. The Honeywell Allergen Plus is effective against the following contaminants: dust/lint, airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander, mold spores and bacteria.

  • Filters down to the micro particle level

I bought a package of two since we always change both filters on the same day. Do not remember the package price, but it was for both filters.

13 in. x 21-1/2 in. x 1 in. Allergen Plus Pleated FPR 7 Air Filter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 279.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doing the job fine, for a good price I'm no expert in these matters so all I can really go on, is that it seems to be doing a good job of filtering, it doesn't obstruct the air flow too much, it's sturdy enough that it hasn't flexed and gotten sucked up into the blower mechanism (new house, with a powerful blower and no grill preventing that, so I had been a bit worried), and the price seems reasonable. I do like very much, however, that Home Depot ships it to the store for free convenient pickup -- this size is rare enough that I couldn't find it in stock anywhere nearby, and the shipping costs at places like Amazon are prohibitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They aren't cheap but they filter out stuff you cant see! I wish there was a 3 pack for the price of two like some other filters Home Depot sells. Still, this filter costs the same as a co-pay at the doctor and frankly, i'd rather pay for a filter. You need to check it in 30 days! It traps so much junk out of the air that 60 days it probably the max you will get. (i go about 45 days and it'll be thick black. And I have hardwood floors and no pets. Atlanta Air is just that bad in the summer.) If you have allergies in your family, get at least a Merv 7 filter! Always write the date on the filter that you installed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Cost-Effective Alternative For years we have used the less-expensive air filters in our home A/C unit, but never really knew the difference in filtration efficiency until we tried a set of these filters instead. What a difference!! I typically complained year-round about allergies even at home, getting relief only when prolonged rainy periods drove down the allergen levels. With these new filters I find that I have almost no sinus allergy problems at home; the only way to improve the performance would be to move even further up the scale by purchasing HEPA- quality filters. These filters cost more, to be sure; but they also live up to the manufacturer's claims by lasting 3 times longer. In the final analysis it was cheaper to buy these filters and use them longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The shipping of this product provided me a bent filter upon receipt. Not sure who did the damage.... The shipping of this product provided me a bent filter upon receipt. Not sure who did the damage. I didn't notice it until I opened the box at home. Due to my really needing this quickly I decided to try and use it, store issued me a token credit and I did order another in case this doesn't work. However I would like Home Depot to stock this size as my Townhome community has many homes in it and I am sure they have the same size requirements for their filters. In addition I am recommending some type of structure be put around the product to protect it from being damaged in shipment. If this can't be accomplished then I will not buy the product again, and it will damper my feeling about Home Depot being able to supply quality products to their customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AC / Heater Filter The filter was easy to locate in the store. Very simple and easy to follow instructions. The installation was very straight forward. I had the Air conditioner blowing cold air in less than a half hour from start to finish. I would highly recommend HOME depot for all of your heating and air conditioning filters. By replacing the filter myself I saved a service call from a professional company that would have started at nearly $100 and taken many days to schedule due to the heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Filter for the price I don't really have anything against this filter itself. I gave the "fair" value grade because generally speaking these should be lower priced given what they're made of. My air handler really pulls a lot of air, and the filter bows in the direction the air is pulling when it starts to collect dust. This happens faster than it probably should. When I replace, its not even that dirty. I would also ideally like an FPR 10 in this size, but it on;y comes as high as a 7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best supplier ever This product does the job well, and has done so for the many years I have used it, but that's not the real story here. I have done business with Home Depot for many years, mainly for in-store purchases. However, a few years ago, we moved to a home with a furnace filter that is an unusual size, which is stocked by no one locally. Home Depot has them, but only for internet sales. On my most recent order, I was notified that the package was received damaged, and they asked if I could come to the store to inspect it. When I got there, It was pretty obvious that the filters could not be used as delivered, but it appeared that they could be straightened. Home Depot offered a fifty percent discount with return privileges if they would not work. They worked fine, and I am "one happy camper." Thanks Home Depot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok I guess. This is a very average filter. It appears Honeywell in this case is a marketing company creating a private brand. Very similar to Purolator etc. No differentiation from other brands not even the pleats or paper cutouts. Why does Home Depot not sell a 32"x25" Filter for local code Energy Star compliant house AC systems? Ace Hardware sells them and does not have competition so prices them higher so I buy the next size down and block off 7" on one side with foam-board!
