Yes, this thermostat will work with two wire 24vac forced air gas systems. We recommend that you verify that your old thermostat was 24vac or if it is a new heating furnace, make sure and verify in the heating furnace manual that it is compatible with a 24vac thermostat.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 214 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product for the Price Pretty good product for the price. The other thermostats were a lot more expensive, yet this one does about the same (change temperatures depending on the time and day) for a lot less money. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My New Thermostat Installation was fairly easy. It's nice to have one I can program when I go on trips now, as I couldn't do that with my last one. I like the back light. I think even my husband will be able to use this. Haven't had it long, but so far, so good. It's the same as the one we have at the office, so that'll make things easier for me. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Programmable Thermostst The was unit is affordable, easy to install and program. July 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Difficulty opening, But Very Pleased It was difficult to separate the mounting plate from the rest of the unit. So, once I came up with a solution, I made a 13 minute video, to help explain the thermostat's design, and why opening the unit is so difficult. A link to the video is included with this review. Also, when it's time to change the batteries, gently rock the lower corners of the face plate, away from the wall, in a similar alternating-sides motion, to separate the thermostat unit from the wall plate, which remains attached to the wall. The thermostat is, I feel, an extreme value for what it cost, especially since I had no way of knowing ahead of time, whether the more expensive models might ALSO be as difficult to open; if I must experiment to figure out what the issue is, I'd much rather impose my learning process upon an inexpensive unit, rather than upon a costly unit. Again, the unit has worked very well for me. However, I ought note: In the year-and-a-half that I've been using it, once the initial setup was complete, I've only used the HOLD feature; I haven't tried the RUN feature. The RUN feature wouldn't do me much good, since it's difficult to forecast what times I'll be at home, and on what days I'll be at home, and at what times I'll need to wake up. Nonetheless, when I want more HEAT or more COOL, the HOLD feature makes it happen! Quickly! July 14, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD FOR THE PRICE I just purchased a 20 year old house and for some reason the thermostat was never updated. Not knowing if I was going to have to do a lot of updating I choice to go with a simple programmable thermostat to start make sure the system could handle everything. So far works like a charm and I know what the temperature is now. Well worth the money. June 28, 2016
