Product Overview

The Honeywell Universal True HEPA Replacement Filter captures up to 99.97% of particles such as household dust, smoke, pollen, mold spores and pet dander from the air that passes through the filter. Overall particle reduction is dependent on many factors, including the amount of air processed, the pollutant type and the pollutants' introduction rate into the environment. Filters should be replaced every 1 to 5 years depending on use.

When I see the dimensions given for the HRF-D1 I am concerned that it won't fit my Honeywell 17000 model. Could you tell me the dimensions of the filter again Height? Inside dia.? Outside dia.? The height in the Home Depot spec for this product says 4.8". Two 4.8" ht filters will not fit in my unit. The current filter is approximately 6"ht. so was expecting two replacements would be approximately 3" ht. each.

Thank you,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good Buy Exact replacement part at the right price. Would buy again. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Air Filter products We use these to accomodate a smoker in our house, works great. August 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor filter These round Honeywell air cleaners are not getting good reviews. It looks like Kaz has decided to reduce their inventory by either combining filters or including a foam adapter to make them fit. This typically causes a 1/3 reduction in filter effectiveness. Will no longer work on an average size bedroom. Also my pre-filter snags now, and are woefully inadequate due to their size reduction as well. These so-called "permanent" filters are not that at all. The recommended vacuuming has done nothing in my opinion. This filter has lasted me less than two years, no more than their previous filters. I'm looking for another brand air cleaner. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needed it, but they don't last as long, don't clean as well as the older larger filters and they are expensive The Honeywell air cleaner I bought at home depot was a model that was exclusive to home depot. The filter had to be ordered, and isn't a stock item. I can get them elsewhere, when and if they have them in stock for a little less. Honeywell use to sell a single filter the right size for their large air cleaners, now they have to be stacked, which means I have to buy 2 of them at an average of $20.00 each. You also need to replace the prefilter more often which runs about $10.00 and gives me about two filter changes. If you replace the filters about 2 1/2 times it would be the cost of a new air cleaner. The hepa filters have fairly substancial rubber gaskets on both ends that to me would seem to make them less efficient when stacked because there is less surface area on the actual hepa filter to clean the air. Older models I have owned with the one large filter had less features but seemed to do a better job of cleaning the air. With the older models I had less dust than with the newer filter models. When this air cleaner stops functioning I will be looking for a more efficient product, as well as a product that is less costly to maintain. December 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by In use for over five years Bought this product well over 5 years ago. Could smell the difference in the air itself. When the hepa filter light went off after 4 or 5 years I discarded it and had to buy the two filter package. It fit fine and was less costly then the larger filter would have run if it were available. I also noticed that the smaller filters supposedly can be vacuumed clean so I'm doing it this time to see if that is true. The pre-filter issue is the same and needs replacement periodically. The warning light will notify you and for me it's been over 6 months for sure. If you're having more problems I'd look at your furnace efficiency and filter. I am the only one here with no pets and my windows get opened only periodically when I'm home. Size of family and lifestyle may be mitigating factors in how well this item works for you also. Under ideal circumstances most products work as claimed, however, we don't live in a perfect environment! January 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Satisfied I do not like having to use three smaller filters instead of the one large filter that my air purifier came with. This makes the unit vibrate and make noice. It's also very inconvenient when cleaning the filters. Not efficient. May 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by you need to get 2 of these I called Kaz, and it turns out these replacement filters are half the width of the one that originally was in the 17007-HD model, and are "stackable". In fact, you need to get 2 of these for the 17007-HD air purifier, and supposedly, they will both just fit in the enclosure side by side. You wrap the pre filter around both of them. January 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The product met my need The correct product for what I needed. It fit and was easy to install May 8, 2014
