Product works great for 220/240 power heat only. Dial is limited to a range for temperature. No actual gauge to tell you what temperature the room is at but it works.

I bought this to replace a Honeywell baseboard heater thermostat for a bathroom that looked like it was from the 1970's and had finally given out. I followed the instructions and it worked correctly for about one week, then the OFF setting failed resulting in the heat being on all the time in that position. I just left the heat down low unless I needed it since the off setting no longer worked. After about 2 months the heat was blasting no matter what setting the thermostat was on. I have had to flip the circuit breaker in the basement to make it stop until I can replace it with something, anything, else.

On my 3rd one of these now. Other reviewers are absolutely right that the temperature on the thermostat is never correct with the actual temp. Always off by 10+ degrees. Last one stopped working in the middle of the night (where my <1 year old sleeps). Took it out to see one of the terminals was completely burnt (pictured). This unit had only been in use for a little over a year (winter months only).
The main issue I have is finding another option. I can't seem to find any 4-wire 240v electric thermostats. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but the bottom line is that these are awful products, and not reliable at all.

I am not happy with this product. This was bought to control the heat in my green house. Set at 80 deg., controls at 70 deg.. Calibration? None that I could find outside of the adjusting knob that is mounted to a disc with a serrated edge. I took it apart and turned the disc to max and then re- installed the knob. It seems to be working better, 78 deg. but if you have a lot of plants...I am looking for something that works out of the box and is more robust and will work as advertised.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MidwestPropertyManager junk - unreliable (8 out of 20 failed in less than 5 years)
This review is for Honeywell (also Cadet) T410B thermostat for electric baseboards. In 2011 all-new electric heat baseboards and T410B thermostats were installed in my 4-unit apartment building. (gas is not routed to this building and is not feasible) Everything was NEW and professionally installed by electricians in each room of each apartment (total is 12 bedrooms + 4 bathrooms + 4 living rooms) = 20 total number of controls. I have now replaced 8 of these controls. This is a maintenance nightmare because of electrician costs. And it always makes for an emergency situation. It is not a maintenance item that can be scheduled, it has to be done immediately, can't have tenant go without heat when it is winter. These controls are JUNK but unfortunately I cannot find another alternative, if anyone knows of better brand please let me know.

I happened on this thermostat as an 'open package' discounted item at my local Home Depot. I had been casually looking for a 220v simple thermostat to control a portable 4000 watt heater plugged into a garage outlet. I mounted the unit 52" up on the wall and wired it in series with the outlet. It is not precisely accurate if set by the dial. It also has quite a bit of span between turn-on and turn-off, as is typical for these bi-metalic thermostats...but that's a good thing as I did not want my heater to turn on/off frequently. Set to 70 deg. on the dial, the unit turns on the heater at 64 deg. and off at 68 deg. reliably. This measured by a memory digital thermometer with sensor put at the Honeywell thermostat housing. I looked for a way to re-calibrate the unit but it appears there is none. I simply put a pencil mark on the scale where I found the garage temperature to be to my liking and disregard the numbers on the unit. Dial may be off, but it's the best $15 220v thermostat value I've found.

This Honeywell thermostat was easy to install and had dual wiring options. Easy to follow instricyions and looks good on the wall.

The installation was easy and it seems to be working just fine. All of a sudden the room went cold and we smelled some burning so we turned the baseboard off until this was installed.
