The heater is really great. Our kids love it, because they like sitting on it. The heater does not get hot and is not dangerous for the children and it turns off when it tips over. If it is really cold, there is a special trick. Just sit on the sofa, have your feet rest on the coffee table, place the heater under your feet and cover yourself with a light blanket so that heater is covered like a tent. The heater will still get enough air (you have to be careful with that, other wise it shuts off automatically and take some hours to turn on again) and you will be warm instantly.
Read the cons:!!
We bought several of these heaters and ALL of them died or the nobs broke off. There must be something wrong. I also read several messages on several websites that others complain about the same.
So as much as we like the heater I cant recommend it. There is not really something similar on the marked. To bad.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RDPunturi second year, still doing its job
the heater was in the bedroom that had a dog door in it, the unit had its work cut out for it last year, temperatures below 20 were common and the dog door didn't always close all the way. The thing was turned on about 5pm and normally was turned off around 4am becouse it was to hot. I should note we would set it pretty hot becouse we also used it for white noise to drown out racket. the heater has been used everyday on fan mode to do just that, and is still going strong. its a bit more expensive that i would like to see, im going to buy another today and passed on purchasing this one again as money seems to be a bit harder to come by and this isn't in stock at my local The Home Depot. all in all its pretty good kit..

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Janedoe Very poor quality
This heater lasted 2 months using it off and on in a bedroom during the coldest days. When it quit, I contacted the company and after some back and forth, they let me know where to send the heater at my expense. Once they receive the heater, they will send me another one, but they let it be known that they normally charge $10 for return shipping. I understand that products can be defective. I don't understand a company that makes the consumer spend even more money to get what they should have got the first time, a working, quality, heater. I won't buy from this company again.
