Is this thermopile compatible with the Heatilator GNDC36 ?

Asked by: Anonymous
I certainly could be used in that capacity to shut the whole system down if it reached 165 degrees. placement of the thermopile would have to be carefully thought out to prevent false signals. it would have to be spliced in to shut the whole system down (gas and blower)

Having to replace an old worn out self-generating pilot can drive you to the brink of insanity especially when you contact heating repair man. Just to let you know if you are mechanically inclined or at best a little handy you can replace the part yourself for way cheaper than a repair man will charge you. This product was easy to replace and give you more than enough wire to fish through andy part of the system to wire it. I would recommend it.

This product was the perfect replacement for the Honeywell thermopile in a circa 1975 gas fireplace unit. And, it was very cost competitive to other non-Honeywell thermopiles. Also, was amazed at how fast this part was sent to me. Thank you Home Depot.

The generator puts out 270mV in the wall furnace, still enough to operate the gas valve. Higher voltage output was expected. The old generator that failed to operate the furnace only put out 230mV. Both were open circuit readings.
