Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheObidingDude This thing really pulled the room together!
I had always been disappointed with my dining room decor. As soon as I installed this unit the entire room just popped! OMG! I can't believe it. The glowing green screen just amazed me. It's right next to a carbon monoxide detector that I always hated looking at. With that glowing green screen I don't even recognize the carbon monoxide detector is there!
This thing is the bomb!
When I eat dinner at the table I can't resist staring at it. This has helped me to reduce my weight as I am no longer interested in food...just looking at this beauty.
If you need to pop your decor or distract from other things in the room, or to lose weight, this is the thermostat for you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jf I have three so far
I have three of these right now and just love them. I can always check the temp (and change it) from my cell phone. If we are gone for a weekend, we turn the temp down, and then turn the heat back up when on our way back. If the furnace ever goes out, we could see it immediately in the temperature drop. The WiFi went out in third one that I bought, but it was warrantied by Honeywell. They are quite easy to set up, as long as you know how to wire it. LOVE IT!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by teh6 Easy to install and working well!
I was able to easily install two of these thermostats in my home to replace two aging thermostats, though I did have an HVAC tech run a common wire to one of my systems, which is required for0000 this thermostat. Getting them connected to wi-fi and installing the app was also very easy. I can control both thermostats from my phone from anywhere. I haven't used the programmable options yet, but would recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tom Displayed temperature varies from unit to unit
I have multiple AC units at my house. I bought two of these because of the Wi-Fi capability. Upgrading from Trane thermostats which are rebranded Honeywell. Old and new look virtually identical. Problem is between the two thermostats they have to be set two degrees different to maintain the same temperature. My old Trane thermostats maintained the same temperature when set the same. Also the Trane units had an option to calibrate the temperature +/- up to five degrees. I even contacted Honeywell and they said there is nothing I can do. Not happy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dean System ran heat instead of AC
The system was easy to setup and wiring was a snap. Wifi was easy to setup. When the system finally kicked on it turned the heat on instead of the AC, even though we had the system set to cool. Set Thermostat to off and the heat still was running. Finally had to turn the system off at the furnace to stop the heat from running. Checked the wiring and tuned the system back on. Heat immediately kicked on again. Removed the new thermostat put my 14 year old one back on and the AC kicked on. Amazing how they can add wifi and a touchscreen and then forget how to actually run the AC.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dad A Breeze to Install
Installation manual contained helpful wiring diagrams and enough clarification to make an easy DIY switch and both upstairs and downstairs HVAC units. It's great having remote access from smart phone and/or iPad to monitor and adjust temperature settings throughout the whole house, no matter where in the world I may be at the moment.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PD No fan recirculation mode
No mention in the product literature of fan recirc mode. Followed up with Honeywell customer service who assured me that it was one of the fan settings... it is not.
Wifi appears to be easy to set up, but due to the unique configuration of the "free" wifi, I need to actually log on and provide a password to get to the internet. There was no way to accomplish this. I recognize this is a unique situation that few will have to deal with.
I found the screen backlighting to be challenging to view and the touch screen worse than my smart phone to recognize correct touch points.
Final point, on HD site, it says it uses a AA battery. It does not, it uses a coin battery.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ranchman Very Cool
Everything easy to set up, replacing older programmable Honeywell, so wiring was identical. Only beef is there is no circulate mode which is on about 30% to keep temps even. Now it's auto or on full time.
