Picked up pet hair and deep down dirt I would have never imagined I had in my carpets ! Sure wish I would have a made a video to share. Been using the Hoover Pro Air for almost a yr now & thought I would be down grading to the Cyclonic but boy was I wrong ! The Cyclonic cleaned so well that I was pretty grossed out after I saw what came up right after I had just vacuumed earlier with the Air Pro. I learned that the Air Pro was getting dirt & pet hair up but it was just getting the surface the whole time !Big yuk. Gonna steam clean every carpeted area for sure:(

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by luvrhoover WE LOVE...LOVE OUR HOOVER
So we have had our vacuum for 13 months, we have 2 dogs and a cat. The best feature is how many times we have to dump our canister while vacuuming. I'm not sure who has taught these other people how to use a vacuum but the more you dump the cleaner your carpet is becoming.??? (right) We had new carpet with a very high pile that was very difficult at first. We couldn't vacuum for more than a 3 foot square area without dumping the canister. Now we can get through a whole room (yeah). If you are shopping for a new vacuum I would highly recommend the Cyclonic Hoover. It is the best! We have not had one single issue. Good luck and have fun cleaning.. p.s. the upholstery/step attachment WOW.. is amazing. Did I mention the adjustable handle the fits me, my daughter and my wife. 4'9" to 5'9".. nothing else to be said about it ALL.... Make it a great day !!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rspowell69 Very Impressed !
I bought this at a garage sale, the lady used it only a few times, and a plastic part broke on the hose adapter holder thing. Anyway, my wife & I are managers at an Inn, and we're always buying new vacuums that are cheap plastic junk. However, being "Old School" and missing my old metal Kirby .... I am so far very impressed with this model Hoover. It's a bit heavy for our housekeepers going up & down stairs, but it glides on all surfaces very nicely, and it gets dirt the other new brands don't. I'm going to be buying this model from now on. Also I like the power switch on top of the handle, which the handle is also adjustable for height .... nice !
We just purchased a new Hoover Carpet Cleaner (heated spin scrub 50), will be writing a review after we try it out on some high traffic areas :)

My neighbor across town ,whom someone let him borrow a Dyson Vacuum,he took it to my house and I tried both, the Dyson first and the Hoover second.Guess whom won? The Hoover ! The Dyson, #1 your just paying for a name ,#2 vacuum the model UH70070 did 100% better ,the power of pickup is
totally better, even though mine is old.
It outdid the Dyson .Your wasting money if you buy this Dyson, your just getting a name you paying for only, the Hoover is 100% any hoover really. The hoover my opinion is the the top of line in vacuum cleaner, they last, work good.

I've had mine for over 3 years now and its been great! The bottom trap that opens to empty the canister recently broke off and I am not able to find one.:-( I'd hate to have to replace my vac!

For the 1st time in 7 years, my machine just shut down on me (4-21-15), and refused to turn back on. I had no idea about the multiple filters, which obviously stood up to the test of time. I have a 1300 sq ft home with a cat.
After countless reviews of debris lodging in the tubes, It came to my attention that was the problem. A broomstick (by manufacturer recommendation) and power wash cleaning dislodge fixed the problem. Further cleaning of the discharge tube and pick brush pick-up removed more debris. Removing the filters for a cleaning proved effective. Last measure was compressed air to blow it all out.
The result was a perfectly working machine machine. The crevice tools are junk regardless. Overall, the machine has lived up to everything thrown at it. KEEP YOUR MACHINE MAINTAINED WITH BASIC CARE PEOPLE.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dennis A step backwards in design
While the vacuum cleans the carpets very well it is a horrible chore to empty the dirt canister. You do NOT want to do this indoors. The dust flies everywhere and you will have to stick your hands into the canister to get out the stuff that is tangled in hair. An absolutely filthy job. I though the idea of vacuum bags was to eliminate this disgusting chore. I think vacuums have taken a step backwards two generations to recreate this emptying nightmare by eliminating the disposable bags. It has become the worst job in our house. I will be going back to bagged vacuums which are much more efficient and sanitary to empty.
