I bought this unit 6 months ago and now the brush stopped working on it. I tried to set the carpet level to the highest setting and still nothing. I can get the brush to spin manually but as soon as I start to vacuum it stops working and it only sucks.
I would not buy this product again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sparky Now I can put off buying carpet for a little while longer? What a differance this Wind Tunnel can make!
After buying a Wind Tunnel Vacuum for my son last Christmas I wished I had bought one for myself.
Well, Home Depot had the same deal in Feb. and I jumped right in and got one. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can reach up the walls, curtains, and door facings with it. The attachments for cleaning the furniture
are right there on the vacuum so it makes cleaning easy! You would not believe what dirt we had been
left right in the carpet and it looks like we had just had it cleaned after one pass of the room. It brings back the nap. Now I can wait a little longer to replace my carpet. Imagine what it could do to keep a new one looking new if it does this well!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KirklandDIYer Good product, great value
Overall this is a great product, especially if you got additional savings from the daily deal discount. I got this as a backup vacuum and use it in the garage to pick up cat litter. I did tested it on my carpet and the suction was great compared to the Dyson that we normally use. The retractable cord is also nice but I wish the placement was a little bit better as it can get in the way of the vacuum sometimes. Only con if any is that it's a little bit noisy and heavy to push around, something to consider as I would not recommend this to my parents but it works fine for us.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Erika76 Great overall vacuum
Vacuum operates great, great pick-up. Attachments are easy to use too. The best feature of all is the cord rewind or whatever it is called. You push a little button and it sucks the cord back in, no winding it up, love that! The vacuum is pretty heavy though. I don't think I'm a wimp and I read other reviews where customers stated it was light...not carrying it up and down stairs, heavy!! I can pretty much leave it at the bottom of the stairs though and with the attachments and long cord, go all the way up the stairs without lifting the vacuum which is great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PickyJENN This vacuum SUCKS like a champ!!!
Plain Jane vacuum which I like because it does not confuse our house keepers. It sucks up dirt amazingly. It is NOT self propelled but it can easily be adjusted for floor level so a little elbow grease and it works great. I do have one gripe- there is a small attachment that was put in the stupidest place on the back and you hit it out all the time- solution I put it in a drawer for safe keeping and grab it when needed. I got this on half price at $104 with tax. It is excellent at this price. I would have made it four stars if I paid the full price with tax at $225 because I would expect more out of a two hundred dollar vacuum. Get it on sale and you will be pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Zaneymom3 Great vacuum for the price
I own an old dyson dc10 animal and paid over $500 10+ years ago. The beater bar was replaced and it just wasnt doing the job as it had. So when i saw the hoover on sale at the home depot i decided to try it. It had great reviews in consumer reports. I am very impressed with this vacuum. First of all the bagless feature is the best. I also love the carpet settings feature that allows you to adjust for the height of the carpet you are cleaning. We just purchased a home with plush carpets - a break from the burber ones in the rental home. So being able to adjust for that is great. My Dyson didnt have that feature, it was either carpet or bare floor. Im amazed at the amount of dirt it pulls from the rugs. Great product - great price. Very glad i made the buy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Slappy4428 Great suction, design is ... meh
I will say this... I've never had a vacuum with more suction than this one. After two years, it still has the same suction as it did when I bought it two years ago. Regular cleaning of the filters and the canister works wonders.
In fact, if you use on a bare one-piece floor like vinyl or linoleum, the suction is almost too great and it tends to stick, even if you raise the floor setting.
We have three dogs and between dander and tumbleweeds, have more than enough use for it. And it delivers with more than enough power.
That said, there are two things that keep this from being perfect.
One, the upholstery brush isn't worth a flip. Any kind of pressure on the beater brush and it stops rotating. You get far greater use out of the regular brush attachment. The extension attachment has trouble locking in the extended position. And the crevice tool is a little short to my liking -- I kept the one from my previous vacuum.
Two, the handle design has a flimsy feel to it. Because of the suction on a bare floor, the vacuum has a tendency to stick. And when you move the unit to the side to break the suction, the plastic handle twists in your hand. One day, I know I will end up cracking the plastic handle because of the torque.
Still, it's lasted two years, I haven't broken anything yet and it's worth what I paid for it.

I was hesitant to purchase something at half price, but this vacuum turned out to be a great product and a great value.
