After reading reviews and studying what products Home Depot offered, I decided on the liquid form as it soaks into the crevices that an aerosol can might miss....
Then I decided, since a few reviews said it wasn't effective, why not cover all the bases?..
I bought a gallon of hot shot and a gallon of the ortho home defense... Then I simply combined half of each into the gallon and went to work...
I had them crawling out of everywhere and dying. The products work... I found a few bugs try to crawl away and escape because they may have had it close enough to them to "irritate".. but not in direct contact...
My advice is to backtrack where you spray about 10-20 minutes later and you'll find a few trying to crawl to an exit.
I like the idea of drenching all the seams in fabric and it seemed effective.
I recommend this!
Hope my advice helps.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lmmw Good product bad sprayer
This product will kill Bed bugs when used as advised to in the directions. The only problem with this product is the sprayer, it will not hold up under one treatment. I would have gave it a higher rating but I had to transfer the chemical to another bottle.

Spot Shot is easy to use. Affordable. I sprayed all the baseboards in the apartment. I saved a lot of money by doing it myself. I think the preventative maintenance of roach and bed bug spraying is working!

Have been in battle with bed bugs for almost 3 months now. At first thought that just vacuuming them away and washing sheets was enough. Then went to using a floor steamer. That worked OK till I burnt the floor steamer up by operating it to long. Finally had to get Hot Shot bed bug spray. Have gone through 2 gallons but it has gotten rid of them. Many different technics has helped. Bought a plastic bed cover. Steam washing sheets changing them daily . if ya buy a plastic cover for your mattress and it tears. Get some plumbers PVC glue .. Multipurpose or universal on can .. Take some plastic trash bag cut to fit tear and use the PVC glue to repair cover ..don't use blue hot glue use a medium bond glue ..works great .. Recommend Hot Shot bed bug but get a couple of gallons .. You will eventually win the war ..

works good but i would wear a mask while spraying it inside, plus take pets outdoors till the mist or smell dies down and make sure you have plenty of ventilation

Used as directed, this is product will eliminate bedbug infestation, You should use a mask or respirator for breathing, because the fumes are seriously strong.
