Customer Questions & Answers

Is it safe to spray this Hot Shot Bed Bug killer on mattress?

My house has wooden floor hence Bed bugs are hiding in mattress. Can I spray this product directly on mattress? Any harmful effects of same?
Asked by: KillBugs
Would not spray on mattress. Spray on floors or pour on floors and use a sponge mop to get it in the floor crevices. Use a streamer to remove them from mattress or wipe mattress with clorax and hot water.

1 gal. Ready-to-Use Bed Bug Killer is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 93.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked wonders!! Excellent product This is the second time around having to try and get rid of bed bugs. The first time they were just in our couch and I used a combination of the good night bed bug spray and diatomaceous earth after the spray dried. That worked well. This time we had them in both bedrooms AND the couch. I was mortified and at my wits end. This product was only $10 and worth a try. I sprayed my daughters baseboards, floor, under her wooden crib, under all her dressers and all around. The very next morning i saw a few dead bedbugs laying around on her floor. We had them terrible in our bedroom. I was waking up at night itching and had huge embarrassing welts all over my back, arms, legs, it was terrible. I bought 2 cheap mattress covers from Ollie's and used this spray on our hardwood floors, baseboards, removed the dresser drawers and sprayed all inside and behind the dresser. I didn't see any colonies, any live bugs at all. That night I FINALLY sleep wonderfully. I haven't been bitten since. I have seen a few dead ones on our floors so it had to be the combination of the spray as well as the mattress covers. Only cons were that it does have a strong smell. I was coughing and had a runny nose spraying it in our small bedrooms, maybe I used too much, but I would gladly take that over being bitten!

I sprayed both are couches . I spray the legs of my tables . I also sprayed the closets completely . I have yet to see a bug Its works. .

We have a pretty bad flea infestation and have done nearly everything we can to get rid of them. Our cats have been flea dipped, frontline, capstar, the whole nine yards but they keep seeming to come back in our carpets. We've bought two gallons of this stuff and vacuumed before and after spraying it emptying the vacuum each time and it seems to take care of the problem for a few days and then we're right back to where we started. It doesn't appear to be helping with the flea eggs and larva and I think the packaging itself may be misleading. We will be trying raid next go around instead.
