Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by McLovin71 Great Pest Control on a Budget!
I had lived into a condo which got infested with german cockroaches from the people that lived in the attached condo behind me. I was beside myself and the Apartment/Condo pest control would spend 2 minutes, spray the kitchen and bath, then leave. This did absolutely nothing to the roaches. After 3 months of constantly killing these disgusting creatures, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
After doing a bit of internet research, I found that the best way to kill, and completely rid yourself of german cockroaches, is by using a liquid and/or gel bait. All over the internet, MaxForce was mentioned numerous times. However, no one here (locally) sold it and the prices were above my budget. Then I ran across the Hot Shot Ultra Clear Roach and Ant Gel Bait at a cost that was less than twice the amount of the "recommended" gel bait.
After purchasing, I went home and put it along my baseboards, behind the refrigerator and stove, and along my window sills. Within 5 MINUTES, I saw those nasty german roaches come out and start to eat the bait. It worked IMMEDIATELY! Within 24 hours, about 80% of the roaches had died or were in the process of dying. I was thrilled!!!
Now that I have moved into a new apartment, which is surrounded by palm and oak trees, I am using this bait! Three months, after I have moved in, I am just now seeing little "babies"...one of which was white. Living in Florida, there is no other bait I would use!
Also...as a side note, use the Hot Shot Liquid Bait along with the gel. The liquid bait uses a combination of sugar, water and poison. These are great to put inside of cabinets and drawers. Plus, you can leave them on top of counters as they are very "decorative" in nature. Just keep them out of the reach of the "little ones" (2 and 4 legged children).
I am COMPLETELY sold on these products and recommend them to EVERYONE!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by VW1234 This is the best stuff!!!!!
We recently bought a house and once the weather turned warm we were invaded with roaches! I have never had to deal with this before and was embarrassed to say the least as they would go running across the floor with guest present. We have pets, so we needed something they wouldn't get into.
I put the gel around the house and sun room, and the next morning, a dozen or so were laying on their backs in the sun room. This was a daily event for around the first few weeks. They ate all the bait, so I replenished, and haven't seen any since. We live in the desert so the gel is a little softer and fluid due to the heat, but isn't a problem to apply. Now its ant season. Outside. The little suckers that bite. I tried some other things as I had forgotten that this could be used for ants too. Everything I read said this type of bait wouldn't work. Well they are wrong. I put a little in the top of each ant mound, they went nuts, running all over and around it. Next morning, no ants?!? Couldn't have been simpler. Neither the cats, kitten or dogs had any interest in the gel. Just to be on the safe side I am going to continue to place it along the baseboards in the sun room on a regular basis. A big bonus, the hunting spiders are gone to, because there isn't anything for them to eat!
As far as I'm concerned, you can't beat the price and with the knock down and kill effect I've seen, why wouldn't you try it.
