I have a box spring with the mattress on wood and metal. Does it work on a box spring and the wood and metal??

Could it also work in the attic??
Asked by: Lyss
You can use it on your mattress, box spring and any structural parts of the bed -- just make sure you vacuum up the powder after four hours (and before sleeping on the bed). It would be fine to use this powder in the attic as well.

If I have pets (rabbits) should I avoid this product?

Is there any information on how long I should wait to let me rabbits out after I've vacuumed the product up if I decide to use it?
Asked by: Ginny
Hi Ginny. If you've vacuumed up the powder, you can let pets back onto the treatment area immediately.

We vacuumed the product up and it ended up causing a huge dust cloud in the room from the vacuum.i inhaled it a bit.

Will I be okay?
Asked by: Sarabeth
While you should avoid inhaling this powder, there aren't any first aid hazards associated with it. Please call the Hot Shot first aid hotline at 1-800-633-2873 if you'd like to talk further.

Keep some sprayed around the bed and corner and sims of the carpet. It appears roaches are gone too. My rental property had so much issue that I did not what to do. I sprayed this powder and then vacuum it after 8 hours. I also did a second application the same way. I am planning to spray it as often ( may be once in every two months) as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The way it works Reading reviews, this product is really diatomaceous earth. It works, but you have to understand it is an organic sediment and not a pesticide, so it doesn't kill upon contact. It absorbs the lipids from the insects waxy outer layer of their exoskeletons and causes them to dehydrate. It's not instant and you exchange that immediate kill for an organic, safe environmental way to rid of the insects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far...So good I used this product to get rid of the bedbugs that were hiding in the couch. I sprinkled the product along the baseboards and the heater in the living room, sprinkled under the couch and even on the couch to get the bedbugs. After three days, I haven't seen any bedbugs, except for one that was crawling in the kitchen, I killed him quickly, but overall, my couch and the living room is free of them for the moment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keep searching! I tried this product out even though there were no reviews. I initially sprayed with the ortho home defense to kill bed bugs that we could see as we tossed the mattress and frame from the bedroom window. I then steam cleaned and laid the powder in all cracks and crevices. Because of the powder I couldn't use the HotShot gallon spray because I didn't want to wash it away. I thought it would work because I had to go to 2 Walmarts and 3 Home Depots before I found a store that had it in stock. I bought all 3 bottles that we're left on the shelf. Every night and morning we saw bugs. I kept saying it takes 24 hours. After a week and a half I decided to catch some bed bugs and test the product. The powder did not kill all of the 6 that we caught and they were covered in the powder. It did kill some but I was not impressed! Now we'll see if the spray works...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome... I have used this product several times for a couple of places I lived...one for bed bugs. I sprinkled it on the floor under bed, on box spring and sprayed along with Raid bedbug spray. Didn't have one more bedbug! My other place had become so infested with fleas that no one could step inside without being covered. I removed carpets, sprinkled powder through the whole house and it's now flea free. Unfortunately they don't sell this in Orlando and I'm trying to figure out how to not travel down south to buy some...I'm totally disappointed in the marketing team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Itch I bought this item because winter is coming and I wanted to keep the fleas out. I lined my floor boards, and now I notice that my cat doesn't scratch at all; even without her flea treatments.
