Customer Questions & Answers

can the product be sprayed on a mattress and couch

Asked by: mema
Yes, definitely! Spray your mattress, box spring, couches & chairs including any cushions. You should also spray dresser drawers and any areas where you have clothing. If you have curtains in the rooms, make sure you spray around them because I discovered the bugs will also crawl into those areas.

Will it kill fleas I have an infestation inside and outside

Asked by: Me
You can use this product very effectively to control fleas indoors, but you'll need to get an outdoor product to treat the lawn. Try Spectracide Triazicide Insect Killer products, also available at Home Depot:

How long do I have to wait until I can bring my cat back into the room after I spray?

I bought this product yesterday and before I use it, I would like to know a couple of things: 1.) How long do I have to wait until I can bring my cat back into the room after I spray? And, 2.) Do I need to clean the floors and baseboards before I let my cat back into the room?
Asked by: Kat
Your cat can re-enter the treatment area as soon as the sprayed surfaces have dried completely. Drying time depends on how heavily you spray, but you can blot with a paper towel to test for dryness. As long as the floors and baseboards are dry, it's not necessary to clean those surfaces before your can returns to those areas.

32 oz. Ready-to-Use Bed Bug Killer is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Works great. Has a bit of a strong smell so make sure to keep the windows open. The smell dissipates fairly quickly once it dries. The nozzle could be more like a mist instead of straight shot but it's ok.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I hate bed bugs, this seems to work When I found bedbugs (maybe 40 adults or so?) over the weekend, the exterminator's office was closed and I just couldn't stand the thought of waiting until Monday, so I went to Home Depot and purchased this. I took the mattress and box springs off the bed, threw away the box spring cover the bugs were on (in a sealed plastic bag) and used this spray generously around all of the edges of the mattress and box springs, the bed frame and the baseboards behind the bed. By the time the exterminator came Monday afternoon, we could only find one live adult, which he allowed me to spray immediately. He said it was a very small infestation and it appeared that I caught it early. He suggested I keep spraying and said that most of the chemicals I could buy at the store were basically the same thing, so I guess this is pretty much as good as anything else. He suggested I steam the mattress and box springs, use the traps, diatomaceous earth and encasements I had ordered from an online store, and keep checking and spraying periodically. I did not notice a scent to this product, but after spraying for a few minutes I began to cough some. I left the room and the cough went away. I have been able to sleep in the room without problems and have only seen one bed bug in the week since then. I hear most chemicals don't kill the eggs (the steam does that), so I may have to reapply this product a few times. If I never see another bed bug again it will be too soon. <<shudder>>

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product for Maintenance I purchased this product when I discovered I had bed bugs. I immediately sprayed my mattress & box spring and the product did work to kill them. Although I didn't see evidence of them anywhere else and after talking to a friend who had them, I didn't feel confident that they were completely eradicated and I called in a professional exterminator. The exterminator informed me that bed bugs have become a problem in Michigan and going forward I will definitely keep this product on hand for routine maintenance because I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in my bed for over a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on Bed Bugs Glad we got this for our bed bug infestation. The big gallon container would have been too much, but this was perfect. We sprayed directly on a living bed bug to test it out and the bug died within 30 second or so. So it definitely worked on contact! We sprayed everything, bed frame, hangers, shoes... I am not sure if it is much of a deterrent, or will kill bugs after spray has dried, but hey its worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great value I like the most that it didn't had any bad smell. I barely notice any smell. I also like the price, I didn't need the gallon size and it's bigger than the 24oz size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kills the bed bugs you can see... I have been using Hot Shot liquid spray and dry powder for 11 days and am still getting bit and finding live bed bugs. So I am ordering a Cedarcide apartment kit. We'll see how well that works.
