Answer:
Yes, it's ok to use these baits in a car. Clean the car well so there are no competing sources of food, then remove the baits when you don't need them anymore.

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great! It has been a bad summer for ants here in Maine. I put out eight bait sets around the house (we have a big house)...2 boxes. No more ants. It took a few days, but after a week, we didn't see any more ants. It did the job. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Fast These baits work great on the ants in California (L.A.). Our ants attacked the baits right away! I think they eat the whole bait in just one day, so you need to replace them often. But they're really low in price, so that's ok...The large trails around the house are either completely gone in 2 days, or the few that are still there have very little traffic. The ingredient (Indoxacarb) attacks slowly, so it allows time to take the bait to the Queen. It affects the ants nerve sodium channels and they can become paralyzed. I recommend to wear gloves when handling the baits though...and we keep the baits away from pets. June 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ants!!! I still have a ton of ants and I even used all the traps at the same time!!!! August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solves the issue Easy to use and works very well, would totally recommend. July 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't attract ants at all! Ants don't want to even touch this stuff... I tried to get a piece from inside and put it on the ant's trail - they avoid it like a plague. May 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They don't say what ants it kills, does not kill carpenter ants. Bought product and noticed it does not specify what ants it kills. I contacted them and maxattrax does not kill carpenter ants. I think that is why reviews vary so much. Home Depot is probably big enough to force them to specify what ants the product kills. Quite important to know. June 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ineffective I truly wanted this Hot Shot ant bait to work, based on reading a few positive reviews here, but it did nothing for the ants in my case. Seeing a long trail of ants in my garage, I put out two of the baits directly in their path. That was on Thursday night. By Sunday, I saw no difference-- the ants were continuing to march across and (mostly) around the baits. There is something about the plastic that they seem to avoid (and other reviewers have noted this). I then put out two more bait containers along the trail, for a total of four. Now an entire week has passed and the ants still march around (and some over) the baits! Apparently they have no interest in whatever "bait" is inside. I've even observed a few ants go inside the bait, but no effect. This is NOT a reliable product and I cannot recommend it at ll. May 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3rd time purchase I tried them all this is the one that works best for me. May 11, 2016
