Is it safe to use under a car seat, for ants in the car? Is there a risk from fumes?

Asked by: 2Tone
Yes, it's ok to use these baits in a car. Clean the car well so there are no competing sources of food, then remove the baits when you don't need them anymore.

Can you put this under a gas oven and still use the oven and stove?

Asked by: Peoplelove
We don't recommend it. The compartment under a gas range can get quite warm when the oven is in use, which could cause the bait and/or station to soften or melt. Heat could also degrade the active ingredient.

I watched multiple ants walk up to the base of the bait station and act confused. Some didn't know what to do and kept examining the base of the station as if they were trying to figure out what it was. Some walked around it without so much as a notice. And some just turned around and walked back the way they came, and then came back again. Eventually all of the ants made their way around the bait station and ignored it completely.

I've tried several other traps and this one by far is the most attractive to the ants that were in my home. They couldn't get enough of this stuff. Left the trap over night and in the morning not one in sight.

Takes a couple of days sometimes to get the ants go for this, but once they pick up the bait, the ants begin to disappear. Worked for fire ants as well that were coming into the home.

My Home has been invaded by ants over this past cold rainy season. I found several ant trails and while the Home Defense Spray works WONDERS at prevention, it doesn't do anything for eradication of established colonies. In quick desperation and panic, I went to Home Depot and picked up a pack of these after seeing the ant trails go nuts over some left over rice pieces under a wine hutch. The problem I found with these is that the plastic housing, while kind of well thought out, wasn't made perfectly flat. While I'm sure the intention was for this to be flat, it didn't come out that way. The Ants just completely avoided it by walking under it or around the bait housing. Even when I tried "deposting" some ants into the housing to get them "started" it still didn't work well (if at all). I later found Terro Liquid Ant Bait (5.4% Borax), and man within 3-minutes of putting it on an ant trail, I must have had THOUSANDS of Ants carrying back Borax to the colony. I quickly setup more "poison" bait, and there must have been 10,000 of ants within the first 8-10hours of application... it's now 24-hours and I'm showing signs of the Ant "army" slowly diminishing.... is it working? It could be, but from YouTube videos... it sure seems like it's following expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Very effective! I used this product while living in a 1st floor apartment that was an ant magnet. It worked like a charm. I put them in locations within the apartment where I had previously seen an ant or two. After about an hour, ants were flooding in and out of this trap. Don't be alarmed. This means they are taking the bait. By the next morning all the ants were gone. This trap did not even leave any ant bodies behind. Like the box says, it kills the colony within the hive. I removed the traps about 72 hours after I put them down. I have not seen any ants in the apartment since! It's been over a year...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They don't say what ants it kills, does not kill carpenter ants. Bought product and noticed it does not specify what ants it kills. I contacted them and maxattrax does not kill carpenter ants. I think that is why reviews vary so much. Home Depot is probably big enough to force them to specify what ants the product kills. Quite important to know.
