the only problem is that it is too hot at each tap. I had to reduce the eat on my water heater.

The pump works great! I have hot water in under 30 seconds, compared to 5 minutes before. I had it professionally installed, took him about 1 hour.
I do notice that the tile and laminate floors are warm where the pipes lead from the gas water heater to the sinks. It doesn't change the temperature in the house noticeably, but with consistent 100 degree weather, my AC is on all the time anyway. However, my gas bill did triple the first month (from $8 to $24). I had the timer set to go on at 5am and off at 10pm. I have changed it now to come on at 5am, off at noon, on at 5pm, off at 10pm. We'll see if that helps. I haven't noticed a change in my water bill, as I had to bump up the sprinkler timers to longer times due to the weather, and the city increased our water rates, again.

Love having hot water within 10 seconds of turning the shower on. It used to take a minute or more. Saving lots of water.

My Nephew purchased this item online and picked up at local store. After seeing and hearing how easy installation would be I checked online to verify our local store had 2 in stock. I purchased and installed the same day and it works great.

Second one I bought, first died after 2 1/2 yrs. Family member has one that has lasted many years. Appreciate having hot water at faucet so decided to give it another chance. When it works, it works great. Hired installation which was very pricey.
First tried changing the sensor, a diy job but that was not the problem. Considering cost of sensor replacement, new pump, and installation, the new "$200" pump cost over $500.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DoctorDetroit Why wait? The fastest way to a hot shower.
I heard about recirculating hot water systems years ago and assumed it was a "luxury" item that would cost thousands to upgrade my current plumbing. So, for the past 10 years, I lived with the fact that it took a long time for my shower to warm up. I would turn on my shower and then go do some other task, like make breakfast, cut the lawn, or watch a movie... and then, by the time I got back, it was nice and warm.
Waiting for the water to warm up seemed like an eternity, like waiting for water to boil, or watching paint dry.
Before installing this product, I timed how long it took for my shower to warm up. It took about a minute and 9 seconds. (I always assumed it was more like 5 minutes). After completing the installation, it only takes about 20 seconds... about the time it takes to disrobe. Not too bad.
Highly recommend, not only for convenience and water savings, but to start each day without disdain.

Pump was well packed. Seems well made. Installing pump on top of water heater was easy.
Installing valve under the sink was a bit harder due to difficulty of working under sink. However
the hoses fit well and did not leak at all. Pump only uses 25 watts, I run it 16 hours per day.
Cost for electricity for pump works out to be about $1.50 per month, not bad. You do get warm water on the cold side of your faucet where the special valve is installed. However, that does not happen
at other sinks in the house. In my case, with the valve installed at the sink most distant from the water heater, it was a big help to the two bathrooms along the way.
The only change in the pump I would recommend is the plastic cover on the timer tends to fall off
easily, it needs a more positive way to attach.
