Customer Questions & Answers

Do your clothes get very twisted as some have reported?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes they do. Very tangled with other clothes You have to pull practically all the clothes out to untangle them..I'm on my second washer.I hate the new models. Fabric softener does not mix,it leaves marks on clothes. Can't open door right away when it's not level.Water levels do not work the way they should. Sometimes when you have to stop the machine and then when you close it ,it will start filling again. One time the water got so high i didn't think it was going to stop.If its suppose to be a water saver forget it. You have to use 2 rinses to get the fabric softener off the clothes. My other washer is a Maytag bravo.I wasn't to crazy about that one either. The new computerized models (pardon me) stink..The don't work like the should.Give me the good older type with the agitators, where you can adjust things the way you want. Its sad because we are not going to find them at all soon. Besides do you realize how confusing it is for an elderly person to use the new type washers?

Does this Machine come with hoses? It says yes in the specifications, but then asks you if you want to add hoses when you add it to your cart.

Customer Reviews

3.6 DOE cu. ft. Top Load Washer in White is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 247.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Washer Ever It is THE WORST WASHER in all my years of doing laundry. I like basic and simple, but this is the worst. 3 cycles sound great, but tell me, what is the difference in cycles when they're called "white, color & casual"? And the agitator is HORRIBLE! I never knew plain t-shirts and men's long sleeved shirts could get SO tangled! (Not to mention my tank tops) But seriously, I have never had to un-knot long sleeve shirts before now. I have done laundry in all types of machines for at least 30 years and none have been this awful, not even the quarter machines in my college dorm! By the way, none of the 3 cycles are "delicate" and they all put your clothes "through the wringer".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disposable washer Bought this 13 months ago. The plastic agitator started breaking off after a few months. Then there was a problem with the cold water selector. Warranty fixed that problem. Finally when the warranty ran out, the plastic tub broke near the discharge hose. I decided not to spend hundreds of dollars to fix it and will spend the money for a quality washer this time.

I have tried using it for a few months now. Luckily i still have my old washer which is a 30 year old Hotpoint and it is a far better washer. This washer does not spin after it finishes the wash phase and drains. The agitator speed is slow. It does not agitate fast enough to make suds. The drain time is excessive. This leaves dirty water in the clothes. Then it barely puts any water in it to rinse. It tears up the clothes by agitating without enough water, doing a dry rinse. In effect it has no rinse. Finally it drains and spins. "It spins ok." That is the only thing it does right (spins). Sometimes during washing, the tub will move instead of the agitator. It is noisy, squeaks a lot and water is slow to fill. If the lid is opened the clock keeps running and when the lid is closed again, the agitator goes through unnecessary movements before it starts again. Put a magnet on the door switch to see this. WARNING: The clock turned off does not stop agitator movement, only the door switch. The only way to use this washer is by manually operating it. I let it wash and drain then stopping the clock and turning the knob to spin. Then for the rinse, doing it all again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THANK YOU!! Thank you!! Thank you! Thank you for a Good Old Fashion Washing Machine. Minimum Dials --- less things to break! Huge Tub --- great for blankets. No dry cleaning bills. No lock on lid --- can add the sock you dropped. Great service. Great installation. Have had for 9 months. No issues at all. Bought a high efficiency washer from Abt. Sent it back on the 3rd day. Tub only filled 4 inches. Top clothes never got wet!! Had to add water with a bucket to add more water. If I opened the lid, it drained all the water out and started over. There was no way to bypass this. DO NOT BY High-Efficiency if you want to save money. BUY THIS MACHINE. I'm buying another to put in my tenant's building.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great washer for someone on a budget. Doesn't fill and high as I'd like on the super setting. So... Great washer for someone on a budget. Doesn't fill and high as I'd like on the super setting. So now I do a 3/4 size load instead. As long as you don't over stuff then it washes great. The hot water setting only gets lukewarm. If I want super hot water then I turn my cold water off and then its the right temp. But I have to turn it back on before it rinses. But for a washer that was only 300 dollars, it washes my families clothes fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted it to be. After reading the other reviews on this I was getting a little nervous because I thought the price was a little too good, but I am very happy with it. The noisiest part of it's operation is when it fills with water. I honestly don't care about not hearing a loud buzzing when the cycle is completed that other washers have. I am also someone that only wants the most basic of cycle choices.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy buyer I've had this unit for a year now and even load small or large after the rinse cycle the clothes become unlevel and the unit jumps and bangs until I open the lid and readjust the load. I have to sit there and watch every load to readjust the clothing. It is a pain in the butt to say the least. I checked the unit to make sure it is level and it is. Looks like I will have to give this unit away and waste more money on a new one.
