it's the only way to get the cloths run through properly. I think the rinse level is definitely set too low!

This model features a Dual-Action Agitator which provides gentle, dual-wash action. It is not
normal to have the clothes tangle. Maximum spin speed is 630 RPM.
Tangled, twisted or knotted clothes are usually a result of improper sorting of wash loads. To prevent clothing from knotting and twisting:
* Avoid mixing heavy items with light items.
* Avoid putting too many or too few items in the washer.
* Make sure you set the proper water level for the size load you are doing. The water level should just cover the clothes.
* Never wrap the clothes around the agitator.
* Be sure your wash water is not too hot for the fabric.
Should you have any additional questions, please let us know.

The outer basket for this washer is a hard plastic . The inner basket fits inside that one ... the inner basket seems to be metal with a white porcelain coating .. nice basket ... I would not recommend this washer because of the water levels . The water saver for rinse is only 11 gallons .. hardley enough to rinse a load of clothes.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy buyer I've had this unit for a year now and even load small or large after the rinse cycle the clothes become unlevel and the unit jumps and bangs until I open the lid and readjust the load. I have to sit there and watch every load to readjust the clothing. It is a pain in the butt to say the least. I checked the unit to make sure it is level and it is. Looks like I will have to give this unit away and waste more money on a new one. August 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disposable washer Bought this 13 months ago. The plastic agitator started breaking off after a few months. Then there was a problem with the cold water selector. Warranty fixed that problem. Finally when the warranty ran out, the plastic tub broke near the discharge hose. I decided not to spend hundreds of dollars to fix it and will spend the money for a quality washer this time. August 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our Washer Love it, quiet, easy to use. Does a great job of cleaning dirty work clothes. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Only had the washer less then a week, Before using it the first time i noticed the knobs seemed floppy and ready to fall off. One knob was for temperature settings (Cold / Warm / Hot) the cold lined up but when i turned the knob for warm or hot the dial was no where near to lining up. I washed my first load of clothes , Which was a small load and it did great. I washed 3 other small loads in the past few days and still, It did great. Today I washed a super load and it was clanking and clicking very loud as it agitated back and forth, I thought at any minute it was going to fall apart. I'm going to contact hotpoint and see if they can fix the problem and if not I'm going to have to return it. August 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money! Less than a month after buying this, I could not use the super wash. It filled with water for an hour and kept funning out the drain hose. Now i can only use large and it will not balance itself. No matter how i move clothes around, it just clunks and makes a bunch of racket. Biggest waste of money!!! Stick with Maytag or GE! June 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOME This washer is AWESOME, it does the laundry faster and cleans much better than my old one that cost $200 more. It has some clicks to it, but that is natural of the sensing. It is quiet and plain and simple to operate, not all the bell's and whistle's like some that you never use. I would buy this again, and highly recommend it to someone that is looking for a plain washer that cleans the clothe's. April 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed Its been about a year and I already have to repair this washer since it keeps getting unbalenced. May 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rinsing on barely any water I'm very disappointed with my brand new purchase since the washer uses barely any water for the rinsing cycle, so I have to stop it every time it filled up for the rinse to restart the rinse and add double amount of rinsing water. The GE tech came out and said sorry this is how it's designed to work but told me that everybody complains about the 'water-efficient' rinsing and that's why the upgraded model has a power rinse feature. I wasn't so lucky to get that feature and have to find a way now to drag the machine back to Home Depot to return it. March 5, 2015
