CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 316 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One Year Review After having had it a year, here are my observations. Some say it's a bit loud on the rinse cycle -- it is. However, the rinse cycle runs at very high rpm. It does make some click/clack noises. They're not LOUD, just that you can hear them. It went off balance once. It was because I had really overloaded it. It does run TRUE HOT WATER. Amazing in a newer washer. Great for towels. The WARM water is truly warm. Not just lukewarm or slightly above cold. On Warm water setting, it fills up Fast. But on hot, it takes several more minutes, fills up fairly quickly on cold but not as fast as warm. You can ADD MORE WATER after it has filled. To do this, turn the knob to reset and hold it there, the water will keep filling. When you set the dial, if you set it too far down on the beginning of the cycle, the hot water function won't work. If you set it to Heavy, if it's too far down to the beginning of the cycle. Weird, but just something to be aware of. I thought I was gaining extra time on the wash cycle by having it start further down. I attached a picture on which I drew an arrow to show what I'm talking about. But if you're not getting hot water that would be why. I'm particular about my clothes (as most women are I think) and I don't have trouble with delicate items. It also rinses very well. I always thought I had to do an extra rinse cycle to get all the soap out. What with the water conservation issues I would check the water to see if extra soap was left in and it wasn't so I stopped doing that with the exception of large towel loads. I could not be happier with this machine. I saw the posts for those that arrived DOA or broke down shortly afterwards, that is sooooo angering and dissapointing but it doesn't seem to be the norm for this washer from all the other reviews. And you know that usually people only review when it's lousy, if it works they forget about it. I highly recommend this machine. July 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value, decent quality, has an exceptionally large load capacity for it's size. This washer is a good deal. It does not have a lot of features, but that isn't a problem for us. We like appliances that do not have a lot of 'bells and whistles' that can cause problems. The machine washes very large loads at a time which saves both time and water. The clothes come out clean. We really like the fact that it is quiet. We've only had it for about a month and so far it seems to be a great value for a simple appliance. May 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A happy purchase! The washing efficiency is excellent! The volume is big. The opening is wide enough for you to reach inside! Overall, I am very happy with my purchase! I did a lot of research online, discussed with some of my friends, finally chose this one. I bought it only for a couple of weeks, I am satisfied with both the service and the machine! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with purchase I bought my washer in November and have done many loads with no problems whatsoever. I read a lot of reviews on the HE machines before I decided to go with this basic washer. Ultimately I decided this washer will be cheaper to fix than an HE when something breaks. The washing basin is larger than I expected and could easily fit a queen comforter. My clothes are clean after being washed, however they are never heavily soiled since I work in an office. It is true that the actual wash cycle is very quiet, not like the older washers. If I shut the laundry room door I forget that its running and I live in a small condo. I have been washing my expensive hand wash/dry clean only tops (in those mesh bags) on the permanent press cycle and nothing has been damaged yet. The water level fills basically to the top on the super cycle and there is no issue with opening the lid to check on things during any part of the cycle. I like to use a bit of extra water and select the power rinse setting to make sure all of the detergent gets out of my clothes. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. Ordering and delivery from home depot was easy and seamless. January 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value If you want a basic machine with simple controls like the machines of old, then this one is for you! There's nothing fancy about it, easy to work yet cleans your clothes. It has a pretty large capacity, too. I can also get an actual hot water wash, which I couldn't with my previous machine which had an automatic temp sensor and it wouldn't let the wash water get above lukewarm. The only drawbacks are that there isn't a delicates cycle, which for me isn't a big deal, and that if you fill the machine with water before putting the clothes in, the timer will continue to run. Also, not a big deal for me and the instructions do say to put your clothes in first and then put in your detergent. I just happen to do it the other way around. December 10, 2013
