Answer:
Hello Julie,
This is Nancy from GE. I am happy to help you.
The depth does not include the power cord. As long as the receptacle and electrical outlet box are located within the area specified in the installation instructions, then this will allow the range to be installed directly against the rear wall.
I hope this helps. Thank you for checking with us!

F2 - For an unknown reason, the oven temperature has exceeded a preset threshold.
Sometimes shutting off the circuit breaker that the range or oven is connected to for 30 seconds will clear the fault, error or function code, however there are some cases when further service may be required.

My husband informed me that most of the time, you just buy the cord you need to accomodate whatever plug you have mounted in your home. They're easily changed on the stove itself.

4.5 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Oven in Silver Metallic is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great range with a few cheap parts The stove/ oven works great. I did take notice to the cheap make of the locking lever that is used when one cleans the oven. The lever handle is comprised of a hollow thin plastic. Also the bottom drawer under the oven seems to be made out of thinner metal than in ovens that I have previously owned. The bottom drawer is also more shallow than I expected. I used to be able to store more grilling pans and baking dishes in my older oven than I can in this one. On a positive note, the oven's bottom element is completely covered over which keeps spillovers from making a mess on it. It does cause the oven to take longer to preheat, but I find that the oven cooks faster and hotter than my previous oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent choice for the money My new stove was delivered about 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. I love the flat ceramic cook top which is very easy to clean, the broiler works well and cooks the food more quickly than my old stove ever did. At the moment I set the oven temperature about 50 degrees greater than the recipe calls for, but in reading the manual, the oven temperature can be re-calibrated to hotter or cooler, and I have just yet to do that. I just love the front right burner which can be set for "small" or "large" depending on the size of the saucepan on the cooktop. The oven light is nice and bright and makes it very easy to see the food cooking in the oven. Overall, this stove is well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product has great features. Overall, this range is a good general cooking appliance, great for the novice or experienced cook. The ceramic cooktop is easy to use & clean, though cleanup must be more frequent to keep the like-new appearance. Careful attention is necessary after burners are turned off, to avoid harm to self or dishes, since the heat turns off quickly, but burner is not cool right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value Bought to replace a failed stove in a rental and the tenants went with me to help select the range. They are very satisfied with the performance and the features. The features vs. cost made it an easy choice for the me as landlord. I have had a sample of several items from the oven and it works well - that seems to be the real challenge for a simple electric ranges. Have not used the self-cleaning feature.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Someone at Hotpoint has over-thought the redesign... Before purchasing this stove, I owned (for nearly 15 years) what I assume was its predecessor model. While some improvements have been made, I have to say I think, overall, the old design was much better. First let's talk about what is better now. I can imagine that the cover over the bottom coil inside the oven is going to make spill clean-up infinitely less difficult. The option to pick a larger or smaller size on the front right burner is an efficiency upgrade. That's it. Now the downside. The bottom drawer is practically impossible to open and either needs a handle or to go back to the old indentation which was easier to grasp. The readout is MUCH duller and can't be seen across the room. The timer alarm is much lower and can't be heard well from another room. There used to be a dial for oven temperature. Now it is all digital and very confusing to set the timer and temperature digitally. Often I'll see the temperature on the readout instead of how much longer cooking time will be. Duh...I set the temperature. I don't need to see that on the readout. More important to know how much time is left to cook. They used to have a four dot "hot surface" readout right on the cooktop surface so you could see which burner was still hot. That has been downgraded to in idiot light on the control panel that says "hot surface." And finally, why have they curved the surface above the control panel? I used to be able to sit my tea boxes and a knickknack or two on top. Now it's wasted space. Some designer at Hotpoint must have needed to justify his existence and has consequently re-invented the wheel. Are you listening Hotpoint? Your old design was much better. Kind of wish I'd just fixed the old one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and operates great. Features all work as expected, instant high / instant low on under-glass burners. Easily programmable, surface is super easy to clean. Takes the oven a few minutes to pre-heat. Under oven storage drawer could have a little more "positive" hand grasp but overall it is an excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove for the money. Great stove for the money. Top heats up quickly, controls well laid out, like the "hot surface" warning light. Looks good, but requires work to keep it that way. The timer took a little while to get used to. The storage drawer on the bottom could use a handle, Other then that we are quite satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed Surpassed our expectations. The oven temp is right on the the burners heat quicked then we expected. The delayed time bake works great. We love the features and everything works fast er than our old range. We bought Hotpoint again as our last Hotpoint range lasted a long time and the built quality on this range, other then the lack of drawer pull handle was great.
