A rather basic stove without all the bells and whistles. Solid construction, nice finish, easy to install and nice removable burners for easy cleaning. Oven has a window and interior light with a switch on the front (even came with a light bulb installed!). Over all a very nice unit- just what we were looking for as we did not want to hassle with all the digital controls/settings of other units or a gigantic oven we don't need. Easy to use burner knobs and oven control (which was calibrated to the exact temperature setting). Got it on sale so for the price it was a great deal for us.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Joyce Worse appliance ever purchased.
Uneven heat on stovetop and in oven. Poor quality/service. The entire kitchen heats up when the oven is on (not enough insulation?). The biggest complaint is baking. As seen in the photo - the cookies were baked on the same cookie sheet; half are overcooked and half are practically raw. I never use the center of a cookie sheet because those haven't a chance of baking. As soon as I got the range, I called service regarding the uneven baking. They checked it out and said it was working perfectly. The product is good for one thing: boiling water and that may take longer than usual since the stovetop burners seem to work inefficiently. I would have been more than happy to return the range, but that was not an option. I cannot recommend this product to anyone who prefers their food cooked to a safe temperature.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nerakwms Gumbo, gumbo, gumbo
The stove is what was needed to continue to cook Gumbo. My other stove was 35 years. I did not realize that electricity was needed when hooking up the stove due to the Electronic ignition. So as a Stand Alone, the area that I used in my 89 years old house did not have Electrical Plug. So I did what was necessary to see that it worked with an extension cord. The installers were professional and Home Depot was on time with the delivery. I had to call Customer Service because I didn't at first think I had the correct stove because of the plug. I was ensured that everything was correct and the changed from a gas starter to electronic had been required for a while now. Overall I have zero complaint. Thanks

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Goo No Control Board (a plus)
I'm tired of replacing control boards every 2 to 4 years. This units only electronic feature is a spark ignition. Boards rarely cost under $100.00. Very happy with stove up to now.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sandylulynn Good Product for the Price except for Window
Would have got 5 stars except for the range window. Smallish and has a white coating on that is hard to see through even with the light on. For the price difference, I would have got the one with no window. Other than that, I am very happy with this stove.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by AnastasiaBeaverhausen Don't take the door off. EVER!
Had I written this review earlier, I would have probably given it a 5 star rating. It's very basic, which is what I wanted. It was a step up from my previous stove in that it has a window in the door and an oven light. My only problem with it, and it was a big problem, was the first time I went to clean the oven. The door was in the way and my back was bothering me so I decided to take the door off. For as long as I have been aware of oven doors, they were easily removed by opening the door a few inches and then lifting the door off. No longer is that the case. The manufacturer has reinvented a wheel that was not flat and made it a square instead. I had to consult the manual to figure out how to take the door off. There are two clips that one must lift up and then the door easily pulls away from the oven. The real chore came with trying to put the door back on. While holding the door in position, a second person has to try to push the locks back down. I can't tell you how many times we tried to push the locks down but they wouldn't budge. Since it was easier to try to see how to maneuver the lock when the door was laying flat down, we tried to see how to move the lock with the door laying on our kitchen island. BAD MOVE. My husband managed to get the lock to move but this caused the clip that hooks to the oven to poke out and the lock shot up parallel with the door. At this point, we gave up and scheduled a service call with GE because it appeared we had broken the door. This was on a Sunday night and the earliest we could get someone to come out was the following Thursday. Luckily for us, we had some friends over on Wednesday night and one of them decided to try to fix it. At great risk to all of the skin on his fingers, he managed to slide the lock back down over the hook. I then held the door on the oven while he banged the lock down with a hammer and a screwdriver. The door is now on and will never come off again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bub Exactly what the wife wanted
No circuit boards to go bad, no electronics to try and understand or adjust just pure simplicity.
It does plug in for the light bulb in the oven and the "spark" starter for the burners but other than that it is all manual adjust for the flame. If the power does go out you can still use it, perfect for the north east. The Knobs seem to be backwards (front vs rear burner) otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
The wife wanted complete manual control of the oven temp and the next closest oven I could find cost over $4,000.00 more. So the low cost of this unit made me very happy also.
The over is large allowing for multiple cupcake pans or pies to be cooked at the same time. We put a full size Turkey roster and several other "fix en's" pans into the oven at the same time this Thanksgiving with no issues.
If you want low cost simplicity with good performance at your control, this is the unit for you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TerryB Basic, but does the job
This stove basically has no features, but if you're like my 87-year-old mother, that in itself is a good feature. She doesn't want to have to figure out the controls, just turn the knob and cook. This range is what she wanted and she wouldn't trade it for the top model.
