Was looking for a gas stove to replace my 10 year old gas bucket. I wanted something that was not expensive yet was able to withstand a daily beating of constant cooking for a family of five. After about three months with the gas stove and with no days off, this stove has surpassed my expectations. The unit runs great and the knobs really help us see how strong we want the heat (we all wear glasses). Also, the heat never diminishes and simplicity of the stove never takes away from the quality and efficiency of this stove.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AnnGab Bought this for simmer feature :-)
Had an old gas range that was still working but tenant complaint about the missing simmer flame feature. I don't usually replace appliances in working condition as I don't want to promote the wasteful habit but tenant was negligence one time and the whole house smell like gas. For safety purpose, I started reading reviews online on major brands and various home improvement stores Website. I found the reviews on Hotpoint to be strong and most importantly, someone mentioned about the simmer flames feature. It has been 6 months and the tenant seems happy with it.

My 15-year-old Whirlpool gas stove stopped working properly. I bought this unit based on user reviews, price, and the fact that it's a simple gas range that doesn't ask me to pay extra for features I don't need. This thing is terrific.
Delivery was prompt, install service was fantastic, and the stove-top burners and oven work beautifully.
I was a bit concerned after reading a couple of reviews saying the stove-top burners don't turn down low enough to simmer food. No way. They turn down very, very low, so you can have barely a show of a flame, if that's what you want. In fact, these burners turn down lower than the ones on the Whirlpool that this stove replaced.
I highly recommend this stove if you want a basic gas range that gives you four burners (all the same size) that are easy to clean, give you the widest range of flame sizes (from big flames to barely discernable), an oven that's roomy and that heats up fast, and a nice broiler, too.
The large back-splash on this thing, where the timer and digital clock and digital oven temp setter would go on the more expensive model, is also nice. It keeps cooking splashes from getting on the wall.
Really, really glad I bought this stove. Thanks to all the other review-writers here who helped steer me in the right direction!
